Norinco M4

Any danger of the supply of these running dry anytime soon? ArmsEast seems to be selling quite a bit....

'Cause I definetely want one. All the reviews i've read have been generally good. I'd buy it now but the car is being a ##### lately.

They will run out quickly when Can Am starts issuing refunds on the stalled T97 to those who are fed up waiting & want to spend there money on something they can actually shoot this yr

Very wise words. I can totally see that, seeing as they're almost exactly the same price. I guess I should get on this soon. I've wanted an AR for years now, and this seems like just the ticket.

Yup exactly but I wanted to stay Non-restricted. I put my refund towards an AR-180B. American made not chinese, 5.56, takes AR mags, MANY accessories and can can go hunting. Actually I'm happier without the T97 as now my safe does not have anything chinese made in it :) :) and I actually have a rifle instead of waiting for something that may never come.
 
M4 at the range today

OK guys the pic's are not great but the results speak for them self
First time to the range with this new Norc M4 I mounted a Colt AR scope (clone) fits right in with the M4 (clone) . First target is 25 yrds , There are 10 shots in the top wide group adjusting windage to center . Then there are 5 rnds in the small circle just below center . Second target @ 50 yrds 5 rnds . Third target is 20 rnds @ 75 yrds . The forth target is 5 rnds @ 100 yrds .
All in all I am very happy with the grouping especially with the cheap scope I am currently using . The gun functioned flawlessly . But the trigger pull is terrible .I'm sure this can be fixed with a little polishing . But I have a new US trigger & hammer group I will install for my next trip . This gun shoots just as well as my colt @ 1/2 the price . I'm totaly satisfied

Hard to see but 3 of the 5 rnds on the 100 yrd target are in the black

Ordered my M4 from Frontier Arms on Saturday and it's in the mail. Now I just have to get an ATT. Anyone else order from Frontier Arms? Nice people. The transfer must have been done this morning if the rifle is already on the way.

Ordered mine from Arms East about 2 weeks ago its on boat stuck in the ice near Newfoundland..
 
If you already have an ATT for any restricted firearms then you don't have to reapply but you have to wait for the registration certificate for the firearm. I just talked to CFC and that is what I was told. Just some info. Happy shooting!!!
 
M4 Accesories

Where is the best place to mount lasers strobe lights etc. on the M4. Is replacing the front grip with a quad rail the way to go or just mount a tri-rail in the handle? Please post some photos of dressed up M4's so we can all get a good idea of what to order. Thanks guys.
 
There is an ungodly amount of information available on rail systems, try searching. If you don't want to dish out for a rail system you could see about getting some Magpul MOE handguards out of the states, there only $30 so I don't theres an issue with export, then attach a couple pieces of rail for your necessary grip, laser, light, etc as needed.

What's the deal with US exports now, is it regulated by a combination of the cash value of the items and/ or the type of items imported?
 
I don't want to look through a thousand posts so I am going to ask here. I assume the M4 should be inspected and given a good cleaning before the first shots are run through it. How far do I have to strip it down initially and what cleaners and lubes do you guys recommend? I think I will cycle a few snap caps through after it is cleaned. Opinions please.
 
Mine was clean out of the box . Went to the range , checked the barrel to make sure it was clear & loaded up & started shooting (See prev range report) went home cleaned rifle .Trigger pull sucked removed inferior trigger & hammer & installed new US GI parts now trigger pull is great . You can polish the norc trigger to improve trigger pull if you don't want to change the parts
