Hand gun Hunting

If I could, I'd be packin' iron on the hunt. It would be wonderful to have both hands free when walking, or climbing.
This is why I no longer belong to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and (sometimes) Hunters.
I would like to be able to at least have a hundgun with me while hunting even I am not planning to hunt with it. A firearm is a firearm is a firearm in my books. If I can go out into the woods with a .44 mag lever gun; what is the difference if I take along a .44 mag revolver
I would pay $1000 per tag if I was allowed to handgun hunt....just to prove to the LIEBERALS it can be done.

This is something I always dreamed of doing after reading a story of an antelope hunt that included a long hard stalk to get in range of the herd without spooking them. The limited range made it akin to black powder hunting with a traditional style musket.
On the farm we often had an old .303 or SKS in the tractor while feeding cattle but they are just to long and would get damaged plus the sights would get get knocked about. I felt that a well tuned 357 Mag with a 8" barrel and LER scope would be more accurate and could be kept in a case under the tractor seat.
Don't even need to repeat how handy a .22 would be when gopher shooting.
Alas this is Canada so it is all pipe dreams.
Because I will never be able to afford to go to Africa, my dream hunt is to someday handgun hunt wild boar in the USA.

Because the recent stopping power thread shows 6 rifle shots not killing a Leopard. I dont want people out there hunting with handguns. LOL.

I'm not too concerned about handgun hunting at this point in time. I'm much more concerned with just being able to legally own a handgun in light of whats going on in central Canada these days.
