Does IPSC Rifle training exist?

You're my wife... you can't come.. I need the break!:D

JK... I have no choice but to give you a spot. The question is: Will you pay?

Your compensation will be calculated in direct correlation with where I place at the next 3-gun match ;)

Lo, taking the course from a signifigant other?
Kinda like teaching a family member how to drive.
Could be regressive.;)

Hey Mr. Clean.. you would not believe how fitting that comment was.... I'll PM you on that one!!

Meanwhile, I'm developing a training course. It will incorporate some of the rules but will focus on skills and drills.

For those who are military and police, there will be a very different course!;)

Sadly, you have no idea how accurate that is :) He was attempting to teach me to drive... and now I'm in the market for some instructional DVDs so I can learn from home

For the mil and ipsc rifle courses I'll just have him wear a large hat and pretend he's someone else.

So, how much interest would there be in a rifle manipulation and familiarization course that is focuesd on competition skills?

I'm in 200%. Cost irrelevant, make it a great! I was in your summer 2007 black badge course at SFFGC. That was great fun! I remember you guys by by the pieces you carried, aside from the multiple "Earls". I was the Combat Commander. I've been looking for something like this, although I understand it has to be on the "LITE" side.

I'm in Ottawa and I'd be interested in attending, but I also still need to do my Black Badge course as well. Is there another one scheduled sometime soon? My pistol broke and had to be sent back for service before the last course.

I'm in Ottawa too but, so far, I don't have any Black Badge courses scheduled in the near future. There may be one or two in May or June.

I'm thinking of running this course in late May at one of the Eastern Ontario clubs (any clubs want to volunteer some space?).

From the response that I am getting, I can see there being a couple of these courses, one in Eastern Ontario and one in South Western (read EESA).

Setting course dates!

Ok, I've managed to write up a course outline and it's pretty cool for a one day deal to start. I have set it up so that it is not solely IPSC related but it would be more in line with semi-auto rifle familiarization, use and skills.

I've come up with a to bunch of fundamental skills including:

Rifle set up
Gear set up
Sighting in (with optics, irons, BUIS)
Shooting drills
Positional shooting
Mag changes
Malfunctions
Barricade shooting
Shooting on the move.

Please let me know your interest in any of the following dates and I'll schedule a range:

07, 14, 21 or 27 June
05, 05, 25, 26 July
8,9,15,16,22,23 Aug.

The course will run one full day and, dependent on how you guys like it, I can hold an advanced course or two day courses. It was tough to cut down to only one day!

250 rounds for the one day will be required. Please let me know if you wish to attend. I will run 8 shooters per day.
