I figured the 6th of June was a good day for this. We will be running a compressed version of the championship and will run as much of it as we can while running 5 shots per match instead of the usual 10. This will give you a good indication as to how the big one is going to go for you. You can download the entry form at www.bctacticalrifle.com.

I would like to wait until the mainlanders get here before starting the match so, who's coming and what boat are you catching?

I am considering making the trip over , But not sure yet, unless there is no room left by the time I decide:runaway:

Got Room in Your Car for 1?

I will be heading up to work on my upper body strength and pull targets. Any one have room for one more? I will have a day pack that fits in my lap and I have small buttocks ;). OK, I will also chip in for gas and for the boat.

Mike, I meant to chat before you and Will had to bolt at SR....we (me, Outrider, Unibomber) can be there for either 0800 or 1000, close to the nose,...what works best for you?
Earlier the better works best, as I need to be on the 1745 boat back.
Chase me a PM or email.
I'll also be at the collier theatre before heading over to the drydock tommorow AM, as well, if you're around.

We're looking to grab the first ferry out of Horseshoe Bay, 0630, which I'm guessing would mean we'd be on the field some time after 8...

You'll land Departure Bay 0805; it's 15 minutes to the range, from the berth; allow 20 for gettin' lost (don't trust Google Maps...use Comox Rd as your eastbound turn point off of Terminal Ave....)...:p

Mike, the valley boys will be @ Duke Point, 0715; as it's the slow boat, we'll be eatin' Nanaimo side, so we'll be at the range about 0830-0900.

As you may be able to tell, this is not my writing.

Here are the directions.

From Departure Bay Ferry Terminal:
Keep heading south along Stewart Avenue. It terminates and becomes Terminal Ave (The Old Island Hwy 4).
Keep heading south across the bridge into 'Downtown'
At the Comox Road Intersection...(Howard Johnson, and beer and wine store)
Make a right. Head up Comox Road (which becomes Bowen Road).-Stop at the Tim Hortons. Then keep going over the train tracks .
Make a left at Wakesiah. Drive along wakesiah until you pass the college, and continue driving along the Nanaimo Military Camp fenced boundary.
Make a right onto Nanaimo Lakes Road (4-way stop). After driving past the resevoir and RIGHT after the hydro lines Right of Way, There should be a turn off to the right into what seems like a residential road. (it may say nanaimo military range). Thats where the range is. If you are lost. the range is right beside the hydro lines rrw so. you know it'll be close by.

If you are on nanaimo lakes road and drive past the nanaimo fish and game club, you've gone too far. Or drive to the club and ask for remedial help.

Nice Work Every Body

I just got in the door from the Island. Thank you Mike for your hard work in putting on the shoot today. I believe all who took part will see the benefit at the Provincial TAC Championships in 2 weeks. Nice work every body! I enjoyed being there today. See you all in 2 weeks.

are you shooting this year PMJ? (damn I still have to dig up those pics for you!)

are you shooting this year PMJ?

No.
I was at the Island to keep score, pull targets and give Mike a hand. I will be at BC TAC to give a hand with what ever needs to be done. I hope to get into TAC one of these years. Just other things in life get in the way:rolleyes:. In the mean time I will suck up all the free expert advice I can get .
No worry on the pictures. If you happen to come across them:cool:.
I will be looking from behind the butts at General Vokes for a minimum of 6 hits from you on BIG ED'S DOTS :).
