Have any of our fine board members bought or have friends that have purchased the fairly new on the market s x s utility vehicles. There seem to be many brands available. Bulldog out of Lethbridge Alberta have 4 models to choose from.
This would be a trail riding piece of gear for me and the family and I doubt that serious off roading would ever interest me.
Thanks FS

My dad bought a new one, its an exact knock-off of a yamaha rhino. Every time I call him it is back in the shop because it won't start, runs like sh*t, or some electronic piece has failed.
I bought a real yamaha atv for the same price(actually about $500 less). To easily explain it, every time I turn the key and push the start button the thing fires up and runs perfect.(-30*C to +30*C)
My advice, from experience is that you stay FAR FAR away from these chinese POS.
His now has a choke, primer, and inline bulb, aftermarket vented gas cap. Also an inline coolant heater from a RX1 for winter start ups and it still only starts 20% of the time below freezing.

Look very closely at the product.
Some I've seen appear to use light metals, and may be prone to rust because of bad paint, in addition to the possibility of having issues with service, and parts.
I think this is a get what you pay for deal.

there junk trust me dont buy them (i work on them all the time for a local dealer that sold them. he no longer sells them seeing there s**t..) if you dont want to spend 13,000 on a real one then dont.. buy a mini truck. much better deal. they sell for 5000-7000

:jerkit:

Lets have us a race...I'll take ANY 4wheeler and you take that with some ITP Mudlites or whatever you want to put on it....we'll see who gets the downed bull out of the bush first...

I'll bet my new Sako 85 SS with a VXII on it that I get it out first ;).

I can't wait for the day when the Chinese start to make more quality items. Of course, by then some other undeveloped country will be the source for cheap stuff. . .

It's too soon to buy Chinese stuff. Either buy the Jap stuff, or don't buy. It's not even close to comperable, except cosmetics.

For ATV's and like, the Japanese have it allll figured out and make state-of-the-art and reliable equipment. (Yami, Kawi, Suz, Hon etc etc)
They've been doing it for a long long time and are proven in the market.

from experiences of my friends and hearing the stories from my father in law who is a small engine mechanic, going cheap will in the end work out to you spending the same and it still wont last aslong

I looked at one, it had the old grizz 600? frame in it, a suzuki motor/trans (500cc) but every little nut and bolt, the electrical system ect was all very low end that would fail quickly.

Except now I hear that some Honda generators are actually made in China. So be careful what you buy!
