As gunnuts, we enjoy playing with and trying out different guns or we would just be another Joe Average with a .22, .303 and a single shot 12ga. But the majority of us aren't that boring (thank God) and most CGN'rs tend to favor certain brands and models. But there are some guns that for one reason or other (or several) we wouldn't own if someone even gave it to us (or accept it then flog it ) So which hunting rifle is your pick? For me it would have to be those Tikka t3 lites. I have tried several at the range and although they shot well, I wouldn't own one. They feel like a cheap plastic toy made by Mattel and are just plain fugly to look at. Tikka has produced some fine, quality rifles but dropped the ball when they made the el cheapo t3 (the lowly SKS has more appeal :p) So which hunting rifle do you love to hate? :stirthepot2:

+1 on the T3. Sad to think that the company that made 595/695 series could stoop to put their name on that thing.yeah, I know lots of ppl think they"re great. I saw one in 6.5x55 that would only shoot well with 140 gr bullets, no lighter. When a 140 was chambered, it seated into the lands, and had to be fired or the bullet pulled out of the cartridge on opening the bolt. Another one, the bolt kept falling apart. They just look and feel awful. I"d buy a $150 enfield(or sks) before I would take a free T3. I"m going to go lie in the dark now and try to calm down.

I'm gonna kick myself for t his and I'm sure others would love to also but I'd have to say the savage! The synthetic stocks are too "cheap" feeling in the hands and I found the bolt to be a pain to lift to open the action. I felt like putting it a vice and starting up the ol' John Deere to lift the bolt...... I feel dirty now...

You said it, my hate for Savage is slightly more flamboyant however.
