No offense to you M14 people, but those Norinco's have no real history or personality to me, while the Garand doesn't even need to be called by the model number it's so famous.
To own the rifle that a guy like General Patton claimed did more to win the second world war than any other piece of equipment is to live the milsurp gun owner's dream. There's no tweaking to be done on the Garand either. Just load ammo and enjoy! The iron sights are the only downside to me, and in a way ammo fussiness, but I reload so it's not an issue.
Oh ya and most of all, the best reason to own the Garand:
BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG--- PING!!!

i am looking at one of two rifles ,a m1 garand or a norinco m14 .I would like to know wich would be a better rifle?i can only afford one ,right now.tell me what you guys and gals think.
