Now HERE is a 375!

SC, I know where there is a matching .243 for you...:D

I'm wondering if those sights will change the bbl harmonics enough to warrant another round of load development.

Any takers on that thought?

.

Its possible but I would just shoot the old load first and go from there.

I recommend you ladder load and load about 60 rounds for the afternoon:D

Are you still using the 260 Accubonds?

Possible, but the new scope and rings will need to be sighted anyway...If you plan on hunting with a sling on that barrel band, I'd also try shooting some targets with the sling on...

I normally hunt with the sling off and in my pocket only attaching it if I need both hands for a drag.

That is one pretty rig SuperCub. The new sights look very sharp.

You do know that this thread is going to cause a huge dump of the novelty 375 ruger rifles in favour of a better, ###ier 375 cartridge... :D

On the contrary, I think SC was suffering from Ruger envy.

Couldn't decide which one so he made a hybrid:p

(Seriously SC, beauty rifle you built there. It is a real looker! congratulations)

The Hogue stock is the only reason I haven't bought one yet. If they had the stainless Alaskan in laminate it would be a slam dunk!

You're not far off there. Those are nice rifles, but Ruger should offer laminated stocks on all of them instead of the Hogues.

.

:agree: Especially in the natural toned laminate you have used. That is a really nice chunk of wood.

Having said that, if I was partial to synthetic stocks, I don't really see why everyone gets so cranked about the Hogues. My hunting partner put a Hogue on his M70 after the factory stock busted. It's a little heavy (not a bad thing on a 338 WM) but I like the feel of the overmoulded rubber, and really like how quiet it is in the bush. I think it' a decent piece of kit.
