trying to drum up some interest in talking about the 3 gun nats, but man you guys seem to want to stay quiet.
so what can we expect? distances? rounds per COF, start positions? etc?
 
I was hoping that the stages would be published.........

I bought a flat of #4 shot for the steel for my new 590A1 as I was afraid that 7 1/2 was not hard hitting enough.

What is the max range for targets? 200m or so?
 
Well...knowing Jimmy...I'd guess there will be a few looooong shots...(300 plus)

I'm also guessing we'll spend less time crawling on the ground than we do at EESA :cool: but maybe that's just wishfull thinking :redface:

I'm shooting Open Pistol, STandard Manual Shotgun, Open Rifle (Open for the Toutnament)...can't wait!!!
 
Sorry Guys I apoligize for not posting earlier but we had an emergency with the CFO and were not sure if the original courses as designed would be used.Happy to say that i have just returned from the range and issues have been resolved ,there is nothing an excavator cant fix .
I can not promise to have courses published but i will give you an outline of requirements
Shotgun
Slugs on paper 40 to 60 yds
Shot for clays and steel 10 to 25 yds
Buck 20 to 30 yds
2 short course ,1 meduim ,and 1 long
I will not mix ammo types in any stage

Rifle
Be prepared for 12" plates out to 250 yds
clays from 50 yds
Paper from 5 to 200 yds
2 short course ,1 meduim ,and 1 long
 
Question for Jim or Sean...

Will there be an opportinity for us (in our offtime) to sight in our rifles? I'd just need to stick a target up at 100 yards and dial in my scope.

fack me. I'm bringing extra rifle ammo with me. I'm shooting Production the whole way through.
start positions? are we transitioning at all? (Rifle to shotgun or vice versa?)
 
Sounds like some nice course of fire wish I could have been their.Could prove for a interesting stage for rifle for the standard shooters.Shooting iron sights at 250 yards won't be easy by any means.Better zero in your guns boys or there may be a lot of zero'd stages.I shoot in the USA in Michigan at monthly 3 gun matches we have reseting platets at 100yards to 200 yards.Out to 150 not to bad but 200yards better be prone or it going to be shakey.Sure everyone will have a good time .Enjoy everyone.

It depends on what Divisions are recongnised...but you can't shoot in Prod for the tournament with a semi auto shotgun.


To qualify for Prod (I've never seen that Division recognised at at 3 gun) you would have to shoot

Production or revolver in pistol

Standard Manual in Rifle

Standard Manual in Shotgun

You will probably be shooting Standard for the tournament, providing there is nothing on your shotgun (ports, use of speed loaders, optics) or rifle (ports, optics etc) that put you in Open...
 
sorry meant standard. no optics or porting anywhere. oh wait I've got a flash hider on the AR, hmmmm

There's no reference to "muzzle brakes" in the Rifle Rule Book - but if you mean Comps (Like my Rescomp adjustacomp) - they're OK...

The Rifle Range has 3 pistol stages set up at it's backstop during the main pistol match, so it will be difficult to get a 100 yard sight in session set up at our facility. We may be able to direct you to another gun club - though - I'll check into it.
 
hhmmmm...very poorly worded in the rule book.

In standard, comps are allowed but ports aren't...

What about ported comps????

I always assumed no...but that wording has me confused...

Carla was wonderful to deal with even keeping the fact that the 4th one was for me a secret!............we will be all decked out in full Mossberg finery in Halifax.

...the A1's are more expensive...but still worth it. I fricken love mine...especially with the LPA sights, heat sheild...and the Ace M4 stock
