WOW!! Solothurn for sale!

if i had that kind of cash, i'd buy that up in a heart beat :(...

Bahahaha, you can run from me moose, but i've got you in my cross hairs for at least a couple miles  :D!

My wife was born near Solothurn, and I know that area well. The same firearms company makes a nice submachine gun called a Solothurn SMG.I tryed one out near a military museum at the town of Solothurn. The museum had many exhibits ranging from Matchlocks up to modern firearms. My wifes brother had the military clearance to allow me to try out some of their stuff.

"...never heard of this until..." Your education is lacking. Go read every firearm book in your public library and find a copy of Military Small Arms of the 20th Century. By Ian Hoggs and John Weeks. Digest Books, Northfield, Il. ISBN: 0-695-80406-5
Probably find it in your local gun shop, Amazon.ca($17.33Cdn) or at a gun show.

Great design. And it also neatly cuts and digests any finger straying too long in its open action.
There's a story about some dude curious to know if it pinched fingers harder than a Garand... Guess what? SNIP!

What a beautiful piece of engineering - and yet another 'reverse restricted' around here. What is a 'reverse restricted'? - there aren't any ranges on the Island that are templated for larger than 338 Lap. Hence those rifles larger than 338 Lap are banned from the range - and must be fired in the bush (Crown Land) where there is no template. You gotta love these safety rules.

Yes - agreed, modem users are in the minority in Canada and you can just turn off images if you don't like them.

Hope no minds some free advertising....but WOW

Wonder if its actually worth the 15 big ones asking price

Well in a world of 5K$ 50 cals, one of the most beautiful big guns ever has got to rate more. Judging by the condition and rarity in Canada one would have to imagine that price as a collectors piece is gonna be fair. Frankly 15K is over my limit, I'll say this much though, if it were under 10K I would be calling him, and booking a plane ticket to Alberta :(
