DIY AK & RPK clones (vz58/cz858)

these two pic will show whats needs to be done to mod a reg AK lower HG to fit a VZ/CZ858, bear in mind the AK lower HG are about an inch shorter . for the top HG , reuse a wood from VZ/CZ858.
left is un-mod AK lower HG (front view), right shows the front part has to shaved off to fit it into the front ferrule.
left is the un-mod AK HG (rear view), again you can see the back part also needs to be shaved thinner , about 1/8" off the bottom rear tab then a metal braket needs to be made to fill the gap .
in my ealier pic of the metal underfold , it was made for the VZ/CZ so no mod is needed, it was sold by infratek but they have since sold out long ago.
im not sure if a real AK underfold is adaptable or not.

the underfolder sits a little high , rather uncomfortable to use with an iron sight cos of the width of the folder puts your eye to the left . perfect for a belarus scope left offset .

Now, you proved on more than one occasion
to have very good skills when it comes to lookalikes.
If you want to mod that trunion adaptor
in such a way that the stock will sit at an angle
like it sits on an ak (so you can use the iron sights more confortably),
then you can take it apart,
and plug (weld) the 2 existing holes for the lock
and drill new ones.
I will give you the dimension (location) of the 2 holes on the ak
or whatever other dimensions you need for this mod.
I can also find a new adaptor for you
if you want to have a spare.

overall: 297mm
height of buttplate: 127mm
pivot to pivot :250mm
thickest of arm: 16mm
