i have a friend that would like to buy some 303 in bulk, do any of you know a place where he could buy in bulk at cheaper price then buy buy box.thanks for your support.

Just bide your time and check the E & E/shows; surplus .303 is a kind of thing of the past...:(

i know thats from the past but some people prefer not to evolved to new caliber. its there choice and i will not force my friend to change if he don't have too.

Lucky72, if you or your friend want cheaper 303Brit, talk to your local dealer and ask how much he will charge you for a bulk buy. Say 25 boxes of 20. I'm sure that you could get a decent discount of some sort.
As the fellows mentioned above, case lots of surplus ammunition are ghosts of the past. If you're lucky, you might stumble accross some. Most likely it will be corrosive.

The best way to save money on ammunition is to hand load. I won't go into that here as it's been beaten to death several times.

Ah yes, the old days. I remember buying 250rd boxes of milsurp Vickers 8Z ball for around $60 20 years ago. Used to get 1000rd loose mixed bulk too for a couple hundred bucks. Sigh:(

yup, the good old days!! in the late 70's/early 80's 1000 round crates of 303 and 308 were going for under $100. damn, should of ate more macaroni and cheese and stocked up on more ammo.

according to my last few trips to walmart its actually cheaper to shoot 300 win mag then .303 british.... really tho if you reload, ammo is always available and less then half price of the store...

I just reloaded my first 100 rounds of .303 British for 63.00 dollars taxes included. Probably could do better on the price, but a lack of competition in town makes the prices a bit higher. The commercial stuff I shot in the process of getting the brass cost 131.00 tax inc. I am way happier with my reloads, than the commercial as well.
