I was given this Rifle last week.

E.A.L. .303 there is a Ca type stamping on the top of the barrel near the breach.

200/400 rear flip sight.
front post sight, adjustable for windage.
red anti-flinch recoil pad.

I've detail stripped it entirely, parts look and work great.
its been oiled, and cleaned again.

I've taken it to the range and fired 20 rounds through this rifle. It shoots very accurately to 100m. Groupings 3rnds that I can cover with 1 or 2 patches.

Any info to the History would be great.

thanks

Jordan

they were made by a company in Toronto I forget the name exactly E.A.L is the initials, thier made up of parts purchesed from longbranch and asembled as new rifles, not sporterized rifles, theres two versions of them the one with the rear sight mounted on the barral (the sights a two leaf express sight) was madefor the airforce as a servival rifle and the nothern rangers the other one with the standered No. 4 rear flip up sight on the reaciver and no military markings is a sporting rifle for comercial sale.

Jordan- There is no place in the world where there is more info available on EAL rifles than right here on Canadian Gunnutz.
Hit Search, Advanced Search, type EAL into subject, set Find Posts From to 36 months(important- without setting this you get nothing). Probably a couple of dozen threads about EAL's.
They are very well documented on here!

Eal

Noticed a bubb'd civilian EAL at Island-Outfitters here in Victoria the other day. Re-blued,P-H scope mount with Weaver K4, flush mag. Forend had been slimmed down eliminating front swivel base inletting for some reason.Price was $289.

I swear Cantom has some sort of search engine running in the background that hits on EAL,

then he's there faster then a buzzard on a dead cow :D

Oh and I bought my EAL for $200, I could of got it for less but I felt guilty as it was Oh and it was from a member here who I'm sure is still kicking himself :D

If your s/n is in the 5### range, you'd have the later military style EAL. Can you post pics of it?
Is the sight on the barrel or at the back of the receiver above the safety?

it has the flip up 200/400 on the barrel...trying to post pics, have them, just cannot seem to get them on here...
