Is a cz858 with black bits considered black? if yes: hunting, plus everything in that list

Went deer hunting with my SL8 yesterday (no luck though)

also targets, maybe competition if I ever get more spare time ;-(

Im not 100% up on deer hunting regs, but you may want to check to see if you can even legally hunt deer with a cartridge as small as a .223. Even if it is legal, it just seems like an inadequate deer round IMO

I go to the range sometimes but I don't shoot from a bench!

Thats the comox valley range?

I don't shoot in leagues or competitions really. I shoot all the time for meat and for fun and that's it. I burned up a once-in-a-lifetime deer gun shooting at targets - it would do 1/2~3/4 MOA off the bench all day long. Now, after thousands and thousands of rounds over the years the velocities are dropping off, the accuracy is opening up and I know what I will find when I put the bore scope down.

I bought an AR15 for targets and that should last me the rest of my life for my much loved informal target shooting. I never use the bench, I practice from the positions with the sling and without and I would go after coyotes with it - except that it scares the land owners. Some of them are older and when they see a 'black rifle' they automatically assume it is a machine gun and that the owners are psychos.

I would have answered the poll but I don't fit into any of the categories.

I am so special!

A bullet in the lungs is a bullet in the lungs...

Actually the Winchester 64 gr Power Point was developed for shooting deer-sized animals and holds together pretty well. I've shot a couple with my .22 Savage Hi-Power with no complaints...
