hey, i'd like to know in your opinions which gun would be the best all around coyote hunting gun and what bullets are worth. Which out of the three is the longest distance shooting also.

22-250 is good, but of the 22 cals the 220 swift is the bad boy(at least in factory available cals)

oooooh, forgot about the .220. That is truly a doozy. Really goes. Think it is harder on throats that the .22-250 though. Don't think mr. gopher would know the difference ... The only thing about the .22-250 that I don't think is as good as the .223 is that it recoils just enough that you don't always see your hits.

223 Remington - CZ 527 hands down the best!!! I am currently using 60 grain VMAX loads but I am test driving 40 Grain VMAX and 45 grain TSX.

22-250 can probably hit further then a 204 with handloads but they all have excellent range.

If you don't care about pelts a .243 with a 70g Nosler BT is spectacular, but you'll usually find the other side of the 'yote is missing:D. For pelts I'd use a .223 with a 55g FMJ.

The 22-250 is a great all round cartridge for yotes.

If you want to save the pelts then a .204 is nice but does not retain the power at longer distances. For longer distance my buddy loves his 6MM REM with 65 Grain V-Max but depending on where you hit it can make a mess of the pelt.

The 204 or 223 is nicer if you expect to use it in the spring/summer on gophers........

but the 6MM/.243 can be used on medium sized game (like whitetailed deer) so it depends on how versatile a round you want and what (besides coyotes) you may want to use it for.

If you are saving hides and are reloading the 204 is the best I have found. If you don't reload the 22-250 would be my choice between the 3 you picked. People will tell you the 223 ammunition can be found alot cheaper but for the amount you shoot at coyotes in a year the cost is minimal compared to all the other expenses. If you don't care about the hides anything in the 6mm class is hard to beat.
