so after wanting an AR for ages I finally have one.. I bought the stripped lower from Questar and built the rest myself.

Lower:
CMMG with RRA parts kit and hogue grip
Magpul CTR stock
Magpul ASAP plate

Upper:
LMT receiver
STAG 16.1" barrel 5.56 and 1/7 twist
LMT enhanced BCG
KAC M4 RIS
ARMS #41 folding front sight
TROY folding rear sight
YHM phantom flash hider
and CAA vert grip with surefire flashlight

Im glad i waited as I built this the way I wanted to and I am super happy with it. And it shoots not half bad as well

now to start reloading.

Good god man, move that BUIS rearward. It should be on the last notch and if that's not where you've been using it, then you aren't using it correctly. ;)

Also I'm with the previous poster...ditch that ridiculous foregrip/light holder. You can get a nice Vltor mount from brownells that will hold that G2 on the side and a tango down grip if you must have a foregrip.

Just my opinion...but what do I know?!

hmm maybe on the vltor....as for the buis its on the second last notch...doesint fold down as far on the last notch

does it really make much of a difference being on the last vs second last notch??

I'm in for a local AR owners meet and greet. Maybe in the spring.
I'm at the EOHC also. Someone's gotta show me how to shoot these things :)

I'm also not a fan of that floppy d!ldo looking thing on the front. IM(useless a$$hat)O
Otherwise nice AR. +1 to building it yourself.

i wanted to build it myself from the start..it gives you alot better knowledge to the "inards" of the rifle. Makes it ALOT easier to strip down and REALLY clean.
