I have done my basic in Greece, all 12 months. Greeks use a COPY of the HK G3 produced in Greece. I do have respect for our troops in active duty. In no way am a knocking on them.
I don't need a genuine HK when the copy works just fine.

uh .......you might what to reassess that most canadian casualties have been from IEDS not gun shots .........

The MR556 MRSP at shot '09 was $3500. And it has parts made by HK USA and not HK Oberndorf.
The only downside of the MR308 is the magazine, which is proprietary.
The initial cost is bad, but not as bad as the 8000 bucks KAC. The killer is the price of 7.62 ammo at 850 dollars a case. There is no way I can get proficient if I have to piss away 300 bucks per range session.
I would rather spend 4000 on a HK223, at least I can still barely afford to shoot it.....

but GT if you can afford 4500 on a rifle the ammo may not be a concern as much as the rest of us.
I must say anything HK has made and i have used or even handled i have been impressed with though there is a few things that tick me off about MP5

I have as well been really impressed with anything I fired that is HK. When I finally fired a MP5 I was expecting to have a let down but the MP5 is everything I hoped for and so much more especially in the accuracy department. It just sickens me that I can't own one.
In reading some of your other posts, have fun with your UTG and Fab accessories... oh and I hope your Airsoft replicas work out for you. Some suckers can really pimp out those CZ's and SKS's and pretend they have something that comes close to the quality of an HK.

So where are the promised pics? At least tell us which mr308 model was imported. The whole standard vs accurized thing makes little sense to me. Are they sold that way?
Whenever these threads start, I am not sure why the naysayers come out to gripe. I think it is completely awesome that the ~6 vendors keep bringing in new black gun inventory. If there was not a market for it as ### dollars, I am sure the price would lower. And if there margins are indeed too high, then step up and import them for cheaper.
