Pig Stickers and Blades

"...One is the spike with the four edges..." No. 4 Mk I bayonet. Known as the cruciform. Very early.
"...handle reverses..." No. 7 Mk. I/L.
Neither are common any more. I think I need one or two to have all 7 or 9(don't have a digital camera), forget exactly how many there were, No. 4 Rifle bayonets. Should have worked on it more 20 years ago when $5 was pricey.

Ok, I'll play. Here's 3 I haven't seen on this thread yet.

Mind you, if I look close enough they may be in myenfield's picture...

Thanks...not sure what matching non-reissued ones cost today, but I suspect depending on codes and dates, condition, ect. around the $125 mark. Every bayonet I own I brought back from Europe in the late 1980's /early 1990's. They were very affordable then, less than $20 in most cases.

wow. thats exallent joe. very neat with all the varying colours on the bakelite handles.!!! and the kanvas frog. is that original issue?

Thanks, yes I feel fortunate to have these. Definitely not rare, but I see less and less all matching examples as years go by.
The web frog is original. I picked it up in Slovakia in 1990 (I think) with the bayonet. I have been told it is an AK frog, but I believe it is a late war version. Thanks for looking:)

Gorgeous bayonets. I have such a hard time buying bayonets as that is money diverted away from guns. Maybe one day when I have more money, but bayonets are always on my list.

I've heard those stands referred to as both armourer's stands and aiming stands, but the only thing close to documentation I have found (http://www.rifleman.org.uk/Aim_teaching_devices.htm) shows them used as aiming stands - used to train new recruits how to aim the rifle. I have two of these as well, and the one in the photo can be yours as I have it for sale. Haven't bumped it for quite a while, I guess I should do that.

Just so I don't get spanked for not showing photos of bayonets, here are a few more from my junk room. There are a couple of K98 bayonets, a Swiss sawback bayonet, a Snider socket bayonet, an AK, and I think a Ross bayonet is peeking out somewhere too.
