Longest kill Shot

My longest would have been a whitetail deer at about 160 yards.
We hunt fairly thick brush and thats about the farthest you can see.
It was running full speed, left to right crossing shot.
It took 2 shots from my 7.62x39 before he went down.

336 yards on a whitetail deer dropped in his tracks shooting a 270WSM with 150 grain bllistic tip winchester supreme bullets.

Longest. WT doe 250ish yds. My hunting partner was a bit closer when he ranged them.

Closest 60 yds WT yearling.

You guys that are shooting farther than whatever the general consensus of how far you should be shooting are very unethical. How can you sleep at night after shooting farther than what some people say you should?

Cow moose 600 yards .270 Win 130gr handload . One in the heart second 3' higher taking out one lung.............................Harold [with aide of a bi-pod]

Whitetail deer maybe 100 yds. I did shoot a starling with a .22 at about 150 yds when I was a kid, best (lucky) shot I ever made!

My personal best was a 5x5 whitetail at 15 feet. Try getting that close to a mature buck... My longest shot was a bull moose at 275yds..

Closest I ever had a deer, was a good sized buck, just starting to grow his horns. He sniffed my boots while I was set up turkey hunting...:D

Distance means nothing if you are well practiced at that range. For some its 200yds max, for others it 1000yds. Whatever you shoot at regularly. For me its 450, as I don't have the range to practice past that right now...

Guys that don't practice longer shots, shouldn't be taking them...

Longest was on a mule deer, ranged at 602 yards, 270 Winchester 140 Accubond handload started at 3020 fps. One shot, double lunged, deer ran in a 20 foot tight circle and piled up. Shortest about 15 feet on a young bull moose. Eagleye.

:D Good one......

longest coyote 600 ish on the run did not have range finder at that time.
shortest turkey less than 3 likely probably less than 2 ft

longest shot by other I witnessed, range finder 768 on the run

WT meat buck at 550 yds.(guesstimated...but you get pretty good at it esp. when hunting on 1/4 section [private property] clear cuts) .
Using a 139 grain Hornady over 60.7 grains of H4831 to get an accurate velocity of just over 3000 feet per second in a 280 Remington.
A year later another WT buck( a real nice 10-pointer with stickers) at a guesstimated distance of 450 yds.( confirmed the following spring (with son's range finder Christmas gift) at 454 yds.....again with the 280 Rem ...sporting a 4x12 Leupold .
Oh and to really get the naysayers foaming at the mouth, the meat buck was deliberately head shot ...can't be wasting any meat for Granny, y,know ...
The 10-pointer was lung shot.

I hope you are just joking here
Some of us CAN and DO actually shoot some real long range.

My furthest to date is cow moose at 1172 yards.
Best shot was beheading a sparrow at 675 yards.

This guy at 396 yds.
