tight group .308 (more pics)

That one was done by bill crosby, but my buddy shane helps out a lot too, especially in keeping these things in working condition.

I am a member of the mission rod and gun club . the end of the rifle range is 300m . I have bushnell laser range finder next time im out i will give the exact distance from both sides of the house as it angles slightley. that will be for those of you who cant read the rifle range description on the clubs website

Sorry boss but I built the back berm of the Mission club and it ain't 300 meters. If if will make you feel better go ahead and lazer it. LOL!

Just letting the guys know that they need to double check their comeups just in case they decide to go to the BC Tac Shoot....and really why do you even have to decide? Just come out!!!

Mission has target stands at 100 Meters, 200 Meters and 296 YARDS. I believe it was 300m to the back berm but to where the target stands are its just shy of 300 yards. Nevertheless, that's some outstanding shooting.

Very nice shooting... indeed.
I once shot a group at 500 yds with a .243win, 107mk. The first 3 shots made a 3/4" group!:dancingbanana: The 4th made a 2 incher and the 5th made a 4 incher. Should have stopped at 3 shots! It would have impressed the bejesus out of folks.
Anyways... it's all in how ya hold yer tongue.:)

Had an up and down day today at the range, tried out the new .22. Got to try out the new 1911, got a stuck case (never fun) but I would have to say the highlight of the day was building this group............thats 300 metres.

Do you only shoot 3 round groups. Try 5 or even 10.

I guess it goes to show that you don't need to dump a lot of money to shoot really well, provided you can shoot like this regularly :p;)

Look like he had quite a bit done to the rifle, probably a few shillings.

of course not.

stock-800$
action-350$ after selling barrel off
lug-30$
new barrel-$160
bolt knob-$50
gunsmithing-$450 inc bedding, pillar work, inletting, blueprinting, chambering, threading and crowning.
blueing-$200
i think thats a total of 2040 plus tax

It's a McMillan. Buy once, cry once. Mine's gonna come up to about the same price, but I went for a decelerator fixed-LOP model, instead of the adjustable one he pictured there.

Nice gun. Needs a brake though. :D

I'm still working on getting those kind of groups at 100 yards from my 10FLCP-K. :D

a brake? the rifle weighs damn near 18 lbs. the barrel is unturned 1.250 at the chamber, full 28 inch length, i can hardly carry the thing. it sucks up a lotta recoil, my 10 yr old nephew loves to shoot it, just puts his head down over the comb, doesnt bother putting the stock to his shoulder. says he "cant see through the scope" if he does.

yeup gotta love them cheap plastic mcmillans, dontcha just wish someone made a better stock, but seeing as its he best there is we'll just hafta suffer for now hahahaha
