Hey all you Canadian gun nuts! I just got invited to your forum by one of your compatriots. Because I could not find any threads about the Boberg XR9 Pistol using your advanced search function, I am assuming that a large majority of forum members here may not know about this gun. While our website only shows pictures of the XR9-S (Shorty) which is not legal in Canada, the original weapon, the XR9-L (Long) has a 4.2" (106.7mm) barrel and will be launched some time after the Shorty. The XR9-L is under 6" (152mm) long and would represent the smallest semi-automatic handgun that Canadian citizens could own.

Our new website debuted last week and has seen a lot of traffic from the US, but not very much from Canada. I just wanted to make sure that you were all aware of this website so that Canada is represented in our market research. Setting ourselves up for exporting is a large undertaking for our small company (which is no fault of Canada), so we need to know if it will be worthwhile. Thanks in advance for your interest and enjoy the website!

Very good, Arne.

I know that I am certainly interested in your future XR9-L. Your gun would fill a hole in the Canadian market for a very small pistol without a barrel extension that is not a prohibited device.

I hope that you can find a Canadian distributor/importer who would be willing to work with you in importing a quantity of this gun for the general public to own.

sounds like a nice Kodiak Outpost project.

Reading some of the other threads regarding this gun, Kodiak at one point in time had claimed to be in contact with Boberg about this pistol.

I still hope that Kodiak feels the same way. These could potentially be a major coup for a Canadian retailer.

I assure you there are many Canadians waiting impatiently for your guns to make it up here. Props to you for having some ingenuity and designing something that hasn't been done a million times.

Arne, I didn't want to sign up to yet another forum so I didn't sign up to your company sponsored forum but I am highly interested in the long version and I hope that it makes it to Canada via some method. And please be sure that whatever arrangements are made that it includes an extra helping of magazines. This is important if the Boburg is to find a place in IPSC, IDPA and club level pistol competitions up here.

And kudos to you and your team on a highly inovative and interesting design.

I'm on the mailing list and I saw your site when it went live.

Looking forward to the "long" version... love it as is!
