Sheesh, I have been doing so much 223 through The Beast that I virtually ignored all my other rifles. When I finally broke out my 308 the friggin thing felt like a cannon going off! I probably would have soiled my pants if I had been shooting a manly calibre like the big magnums! How embarrassing!!!

Don't let this happen to you! The black rifle geeks are admonished to stay in shape by with regular doses of punishment from the heavier calibres!

Better yet, cowboy up and get a semi auto black rifle in 7.62 x 51 instead of the girlie man 5.56 x 45. That way you will always be shooting like a man. :D

Just giving you a hard time. I know what you mean though. Its like this dull thud in your shoulder socket that leaves you thinking WTF was that?

I went and sighted in the new optic on my Tavor last week. My buddy brought his Enfield. I fired a magazine and had enough. I'm so used to just snapping my .223 rifles up into my shoulder that I didn't pay enough attention to proper shouldering and hurt myself. I felt like a retard. :D
 
Geeze guys. I feel like a recoil junkie then. Popped off 2 boxes of 180grain .300 WinMag, 3 mags of .303 Enfield brass buttplate, and 2 boxes of 12 guage with 4 - 3" magnum slugs in 3 hrs last fall. Just a little shooting with my son at the range. Didn't count the .22's. No fibbin. Son will verify. Trying to get nice pic of muzzle flash. He did his thing, I did mine. Boy that .300 sure will help develop a flinch if you are not careful though.
 
Hrmmmm... is it shooting the AR that turns guys into one? Or do guys shoot an AR because they were one in the first place?
