my new xcr

Nice setup Terra!

I got mine outfitted with an ACOG and was able to get 1.5-2" groups on average at 100 meters on my first day after the break in. I got some trigger slap initially but since I normally use gloves it wasn't much of an issue. I do have to remove the A2 grip for a MIAD or ERGO grip. Thanks for some great rifles!

I was hoping your setup might preview the upcoming new stock. I read that supposedly it collapses, folds and might even have a cheek peek/raiser. Hopefully they will be out soon...

Thanks for the tip!

I had a feeling that lowering the gas would solve it. Having just finished the recommended number of rounds for the break in I didn't get a chance to turn it down before I emptied my range bag.

Even at the highest gas setting, it shoots easier offhand than my AR-15.

Glad to hear you guys will be at the SHOT show!

You guys mention using the XCR in Service Rifle. Is this allowed at Connaught? I know some of the provinces won't allow it for service rifle as it has not been fielded by any nato country yet. Just curious.

nice set up,....I like the mount. I am running a simple bushnell 3X9. DOes this rifle have the new trigger or the old one? I had the old one, installed the new one and it is night day better,..lighter, cleaner.

yeah its got the new trigger. I never tried the old one people complained about but this new one feels really good to me.

and yeah its a 18.6" barrel, I dont even think you can get anything else up in canada right now.

I'm out west in bc, and from what I had heard pretty much anything was allowed in service rifle, but I could be wrong.

I just got my XCR last fall but I have only put in around 50 rounds or so in an indoor range. This rifle so far has impressed me. I did notice something particular about this gun.
I like to reload my brass so while I was shooting I was picking them up and putting them back in the boxes. At first I kind of panicked because I noticed all the brass had dented mouths. Being a new gun I automatically thought there was something wrong with the gun and how it extracts the case. I then realized after a short investigation that the brass was being dented because of hitting the dividing barrier between shooting stations. Wow, those brass casing where hitting extremely hard. I quickly found a foam pad and mounted it against the barrier so the brass would hit that instead. It fixed the problem and no more dented brass, lol.
I am sure if there wasn't any barrier, the brass would fly 30 feet or more. No problems with extraction. :D

Cheek weld is a little low, but not unbearably so. I might have to put up with it as the ctr cheekweld fits the oldschool ubrs that had a narrow cheek piece (its been discontinued) but I've been told it doesnt work with the new ones.

Unfortunately, that's correct - the CTR risers won't work with the new UBRs (even the ones that have a narrower cheek piece).

Any rifle, any sight is allowed...at least currently.
Which provinces won't allow you to use it?
