Ha Ha that should wake up everyone.

After years of SAA and cap and balls shooting in competition against the cops and "security" folk a good man or woman with a SAA or Cap and ball like a Colt Army .44 wins every time. Remember, that gun fights last 2.5 rounds exchanged! If there is a more long lasting fight then you hand gun is a good tool to fight your way to your horse to get your rifle!

And what sort of competition has old wheel guns and new semi-autos competing together?

:weird:

PS.
Your name is very un-original.

But how well do these competitions model the variety and complexity of scenarios encountered in real life? I have no expertise or experience, but I would guess they are different.

It's always that last half a round that gets you.

Twelve officers firing six-shot revolvers fired an average of 2.6 times each. Nineteen officers using semiautomatic pistols with capacities ranging from eight to 18 rounds shot an average of 4.6 times apiece.

There is a strong relationship between the volume of shots by police and the probability of killing the suspect. In 17 incidents in which police fired three times or less, only two persons died. In 12 incidents in which four or more shots were fired, nine persons died.

tis a noble shooting sport, only the best can fire that .5 round.... SKillz yo.

The post did serve its purpose though, its stupidness made me stupider :dancingbanana:

Sadly there aren't many, I wonder why that is. I mean, we all know that if you can't solve it in six you can't solve it in 10/12/15/17.:rolleyes: The revolver is an ancient dinosaur.

WOW!!!All i can say is dude step away from the box of beer!!

Wow, first time I've agreed with TDC... and I have a Glock 17!

Seriously though I suspect that its more about the "fight in the dog" than what you are carrying. That Jerry Michelek guy (I know this is mis-spelled) would own just about anyone in a fight using his revolvers and it doesn't matter what the other guy has. If the first shot out of the revolver hits the other guy in the forehead before he gets his AR up to his shoulder or misses with his 1911 it doesn't really matter does it?

Jeff

...sorry if this makes no sense. I need one of those breathalizer ignition cutoffs for my laptop...
