So, I have recently KB'd one of my pistols. I'm not interested in getting into the details of it, as it's already started a #### storm on another forum. My question is as it's now unable to fire, what do I do with it? Should it still be registered? Do I call the police and have it destroyed?

Thanks

Does it look like it's maybe fixable? If not I'd call your local CFO and ask them how to de-register and dispose of it. Or maybe see if you can de-register it and keep it as a reminder.

I would like to buy it as a dramatic training aid for my firearm safety class. KBs always get the point across! PM me with details.

Notify the police by phone and give them the date and place the gun was destroyed. Tell them no one was hurt. I emailed them a picture, too. Get an Occurance Report number from the police.

Write to:

RCMP Firearm Registry
Ottawa, ON
K1A 0R2

Give them the O R #, a picture, and a letter explaining that the gun was destroyed. Note, teh frame must be destroyed. Give them your PAL#, the cert# of the gun and your birthdate.

Ask them to deregister the gun.

Well, it was informative, I have a G22 as well. I know I've fired reloads through it--BDX purchased from TSE. About 100 "new" rounds from Bass Pro but mostly BDX stuff.

I know I don't know everything, I'm very new to this, but CPS uses hundreds of thousands of reloaded rounds in their G22's every year at their range, plus how many IDPA and IPSC guys. I'd still use 'em. It's like a Honda Civic failing, probably just seems more common because there's so many more Glocks out there. Again, I could be wrong, but that's how I see it.

FYI CPS stopped inhouse reloading about 2yrs ago. They only use commercial ammo these days.

Looks like lead bullets in the pics but hard to tell. Can u advise?
Cheers:)

**disregard..I just saw your comments on the bottom stating they were lead**

I know they stopped inhouse reloading, I was told they purchased from BDX now. Again, could be wrong, but that's what I was told by a few CPS members.
