20 Round Fixed SKS Mag

John:

Thought you might have them, thank you for your quick answer.

Tony:

SKSman wont ship any high capacity magazines up north. He said even if he pins them he would still get in #### from the BATE. I found a guy on the link you sent me who had one up for sale, I messaged him and maybe he still has it. Thank you for your help.

Jon.

You mean a 'duckbill' mag for a non-'D' SKS? They are, as they say, total and utter shiite.

You're 1000x times better off (and faster) loading from stripper clips.

It is a fixed mag so you can feed off stripper clips, but yes for the non-d SKS. it is the same as the fixed 10 round but it holds 20, before its pined that is. Thats the whole point that I do not like the duckbill mags and would rather use stripper clips but want the look of the 20 round.

This one? Would be neat.

The 20rd tapcos can be loaded with stripper clips.

Yes thats the type im talking about.

How do you load the tapco 20's with stripper clips? I have a 20 round tapco but find it to be a pain in the ass to stop and re-load all the time. I want to be able to load with stripper clips but want the look of a long mag.

I will try tonight and see if I can load it off a stripper clip. I would buy several tapco 20rnd mags but I really hard a hard time chocking up $80 for a $20 mag.

My 30 (5) rounder works like a hot damn!

However, it has proven to be a real PITA when your dumbass buddy goes ahead and (not knowing it's fixed) tries to take the mag out and you have to disassemble the damn gun to get it back on LOL!

The mags are 25.99 US funds and going price up here on average is about 60 canadian shipped. So if you look at the time it takes to pin them, import permit and the hasles at the border every single time then ....

John initially they were talking about the star type 5/20 round original box mag. It looks just like in the before mentioned picture. They are rare and very sought after in the US so to find one here is extremely hard.

What I mean by loading with stripper clips is to leave the tapco magazine in the rifle, and when the bolt is held back on the last shot, load it with stripper clips like the regular magazine. You won't need to buy multiple tapco magazines if you load this way, and you'll still get the look.

Howdy folks! Just bought a brand new 1954 Tula built SKS-45.... Where oh where do i find the 20 and 30 shot clips. I bought it today at 1pm and had 300 rounds through it by 2:30 PM LOL as you can see, my needs for a larger clip is big! hahaha
