I throw it on in the evening and turn it off in morning when I go to work.
I use crushed walnut shells and add a couple of spoons of Lyman turbo brite.

I usually tumble 10-15 minutes with the RCBS Sidewinder using liquid, seldom do I use the dry media although I could but it takes too long.

I tumble for 3 to 4 hours on average. I add a quick squirt of Nu finish to the media, let it run for 5 minutes and then add the brass. I use walnut lizard litter from pet smart. I also add a used bounce sheet cut into four squares. This helps polish the brass as well as picking up all the dust in the media.

I just picked up my tumbler yesterday, cannot wait to get back home tommorrow to throw my brass in it.

I feel like it is exciting for the first 30 seconds after you turn it on, then you realize that it just keeps doing the same thing and will do so for however many hours you choose to.

For any brass that has corrosion on it, Ie: When it gets wet at the bottom of your brass bucket. about 12-15 hours in the tumbler will get it nearly mint again.

They sell corn cob as well? There is a princess auto not far from where I work and it's alot closer than driving to a industrial type outfit.

The walnut I bought was media for sand-blasting equipment. I didn't see any corncob.
