GSG 1911 Pistol Announcement

I just got back from the US and hte dealer I am friendly with has handled one and has them on order. He is very happy with the quality for the price and lets just say he has more than 3 on order. He said the frame is one piece and the uppers are supposed to be interchangeable with others in the 1911 family but he has not seen or used the gun with another upper on it so that is still unsure.

Has anyone received their 1911 from BlueLine yet? I'm itching to place an order but would appreciate a field report first... TIA.

NM, I just realized the site says estimated arrival late February... :(

if it's a one-piece, what's the screw at the top-front of the trigger guard for? you can see it in the left-side view.

According to what I read a while ago, pictures showed a mock-up for show purposes. As such some parts were not as per production models.

I sure hope so because I have one on order.

That piece is notthe production unit as they production units are one piece indeed. If I had mine yet there would be a range report already posted on it. I promise the day I get it that it will get range tested in less than 48 hours.

I have one on order and I certainly hope that photo isn't the production model. The slide stop notch doesn't look functional and what's with the rub/wear on the bottom in front of the dust cover?

I tried to see if GSG has a track record in Canada so that I could at least guess about this pistol's quality. Then I just gave up & ordered one. :D

I don't have a .22 yet, just a 9mm and a .45 - and ever since I got the .45 I have had 'spells': flinching, rushing the trigger, etc. I haven't had any of these when I was shooting just the 9mm. I think doing the basics with the .22 will help.

Adrian that is the exact reason I want the GSG. I do not want to develop a flinch and I want to have a nice technique before moving up to the .45 I have coming. Also since they are both 1911 frames I can swap grips and other parts hopefully. When it gets here I wil be trial fitting other 1911 parts to check for interchange as well as my range report and teardown of the gun.

He clearly is from Quebec judging by his avatar and they way he spelt blue man, give him a break. I wouldn't even be able to translate anything into french so give the guy some credit lol.

I've found some pictures on the internet.
Enjoy!

There is a GSG-1911 22 Long Rifle stamped on the mag!

With the slide closed

Unfortunately, there was no range report on this website at that time
I'm thinking if I see some positive reviews, it will help me make decision buying one. I just want to wait for some reviews.

Thanks.

There is another post going about the GSG 50 round drum mag. It has a link to a Utube video.
GSG 1911-22 and 50 round drum mag(soon to be made for the 10/22) Video
This is the post.

Part way through the video they switch over to the GSG 1911 22 pistol. They test fire it from a rest at 25 yard ang get a 1 1/2" group. Looks like a nice gun. I hope it is what I have on order.

yup....im guess our fellow ukranian didnt realize that...

im an anglophone working in a french environment here in quebec....i know that it can be challenging to change from one language to another....

the guy made the effort, and i understood his question.... +1

I've been drooling over the stainless kimber rimfire target for a long time now but if this works well it'll be hard not to get this one when it's not even half the price of the kimber. I could get some sort of pistol in 9mm if I get this with the savings.

My credit card has not been charged as of today but they did email me to let me know that they are adding the extra mags I wanted to my purchase. I do not want to continually email them bugging them for another couple weeks. When they confirm shipment I will post up.
