IDPA Targets for sale.

You're pretty good at putting words in other peoples mouths. I'm not suggesting ATHL do anything. But some smaller clubs may be interested in crossing the border to save some money.

But keep ranting if you want, going off on tagents about ITAR regs, I'm sure you'll get someone's attention sooner or later. For me, I'm done with you, since you don't seem to be able to comprehend what I'm saying.

If you check his and TDC's posts they live to stir the pot! :p

just for the record....even though Onagoth looked for timers/targets from US sources, he will be the proud owner of a RU ready timer {a canadian comany} which he will be getting from myself..{also a canadian company}even though i buy over 50% of my supplies from south. i am sure that at the sound of the beep........his shooters will most definetly put mega holes in that evil cardboard, wherever it originates from....
cheers

Its much appreciated Mike. We're looking forward to having you out to our matches. I can't imagine how hard it must be for a club to start from scratch.

At EESA, I've had a ton of help getting it off the ground, to do it without the help of others would make it much, much more difficult

My company has a 10 ton roler die press for cardboard that is doing nothing and was hoping to use it to make idpa tartgets, but both myself and Ryan from SFRC contacted IDPA ,we were told no.
Shame really as i could have made the targets very very cheap.

Might still be a market for unlicensed IDPA targets. After all, there is only one sanctioned match in Ontario

Hey Si, contact IPSC ONT. I know we have a source for the regular IPSC target, but there was some debate about the mini target. Maybe an opportunity???

Also, there's a small market for the NRA Tombstone target for Action Pistol.

:runaway: :runaway:

like seriously.... how cheap do we have to be to sell our sport out. suggesting unlicensed targets being used is over the top....

You know what a wise man once told me, IDPA shooters look for ways to stay in the rules in the spirit of the sport , while "other" disciplines look for ways to go out of the rules but stay legal.... or thats the jist of it anyway, IDPA to me is about Fairplay.... guys having fun shooting thier guns within the spirit of the sport, 90% of the people that shoot at our club IDPA are actual IDPA members that support HQ, not because we enforce it , but because they want to support the sport.

IPSC Ontario was selling their die for making IPSC metric targets. BBB maybe you should find out if its still available. I think there is still a market for that.

.

If the HQ is incapable of providing targets at a market price then they should get the hell out of the BUSINESS of making targets and concentrate on the GAME.

If that results in higher 'mission fees" or what ever that would be acceptable as one would know how much $$ one is paying for what.

But of course IDPA is a "for profit" company so that does put a different slant on things.

As an MD and member in good standing at a club it is REQUIRED that he try to put on the best match he can with the lowest budget.

I say Kudos for him putting in th effort to do so.

oh come on storm.... that is a line of crap.

if that is the case then why doesn't he just shoot ODPL or CDP at your club ?? .... he joined IDPA .... end of story, if he wanted cheap I am sure dave burke would have set him up for free, and frankly that would have been better for the sport then dishonouring IDPA or trying to cheap out and not give IDPA its due by using unlicensed targets.

just curious, what does IPSC charge for targets......

seriously... you guys should just drop your IDPA affiliation, that will save you some money per year and lower your budget, join ODPL or CDP..... after all they have a great rule book and a great system to support thier clubs, yearly postal matches, worldwide events etc....

edited to add... quote from IDPA rule book, notice there is no distinction between sanctioned matches and club matches... it says ALL matches.

Affiliated clubs must use official IDPA cardboard targets for all IDPA
matches. The unique target design is a basic element of the Vickers
scoring system. It is mandatory that the IDPA Classification Match use
only official IDPA targets so that competitors are accurately classified.
