Yep blanks during the Field Excersises... we shot a bunch of live during the range day.. at old tanks and trucks and APCs...good times!

Ill give ya 100 bucks for one of those , ill meet you out back in 30 minutes k ?

On a side note does anyone see those particular ammo cans pop up in the surplus market , im looking for those particular kind and dont normally see them .

The target on the wall is just to practice sight picture. I wish we had digital [and small] cameras back in the early 90's. Ther are always interesting things to take pictures of on exercises and in the shacks. Thanks for the memories.

C6 is always a lovely time.

I remember a time when after they closed out Lahr, they had 18 wheeler trucks on the back of a range loaded with pallets and we were begged to burn up as much as we could in two days. Given enough oil and steady barrel changes, I am convinced you can do anything with a C6. I've never seen those belt links again of one-to-one, ball-to-trace packed in cardboard containers. I wonder if they were for the cc ring-mounts from the Leopards?

I am kind of shocked at the condition the C9 is in, but after twenty years it is getting pretty worn without buying new kit. I remember when they were brand new and the problem was they needed to fire off a few thousand rounds to weaken the tolerances enough to get them to work well!

Hahaha, 3000 rounds is nowhere near standard, but I did my BMQ, SQ, DP1 and DP2A last year, about 500 rds famil shoot on SQ, a second 500 round famil shoot on DP2A, a thrid 500 Round famil shoot on DP2A cause Standards didn't like the first one, and a 1500 round sustained fire shoot. All numbers are rough estimates.

Yeah. I'm not infantry so I'm low priority!

The C9s are all in rough shape. They go to Meaford to die... and all of them died on the range that day. The C6 is much more substantial and durable. I was a C6 gunner and they are no fun to carry with you tho.

On a support weapons course I did we had like 40,000 rounds a day for the c6's...

:D

I WISH!!!!!!!!!!!! Last time I shot a C6 was................... oh jeez, a LONG bloody time ago............ C4 and trigran on the other hand :D Guess there's quite the difference in ammo alottment by trade ;)
