I was expecting a cast iron frying pan..
The longer I'm a member of this site, the more I'm astounded at how lacking in knowledge many of the modern gun owners are! At 8 years of age my generation would have known that a 22 would have done that damage at 50 yds. I guess we just had a better chance of an inclusive upbringing in shooting concepts rather than the programs that are the exclusive right of progress to gun ownership. The alphabit soup of the firearm safety course gives little practical experience and almost instant access to gun ownership. just my 2 cent rant all the best art.h

Very nice rig you got there Rye,
Might as well have been tinfoil to that long barrel cannon.
If'n you hadda used cast iron the bits would still be a'flyin fersure.
The best steel I've found cheap is from the ballast base of those webbing pylons you'll see in theaters to funnel sheeple about. The nylon seatbelt webbing retraction device often fails and so they toss em. 375 / 270gr / 2850fps at 200 barely scars em. 06 ap will not imbed at close range. Real tough steel.
BTW; #####en vid on the paint job, I'll steal some ideas for a 6.5/55 B&C stock if ya aren't minding.
Oh mightly bringer of knowledge, please inform me for I am so ignorant. I grew up in an anti household, I just got my first gun at the age of 27. So sorry we all didn't grow up around guns....
I didn't expect it would stop the bullet...I expected the pan may swing a littlle bit when hit, but that was not the case.

That paint looks great. Aluminum frying pans suck for cooking anyway.
