Hi
I am thinking of buying my first Glock and have narrowed in down to 2 Models. They are the model 17 and the Model 34. Which one should I buy? Any and all advice on this matter will be much appreciated. I currently own two CZ's and one S&W M&P Pro in 9mm Thinking it is time to own a Glock but don't know which one to buy. Please help me out on my diss.

Thanks Graydog

If it is for plinking buy whichever you like best. If it is for ipsc you probably should stick with the 17 as the 34 will bump you to standard minor rather than production.

34 if you can get one for a good price. i think it's typical to see the 17 go for 600 and i've seen the 34 go for 800 or more. that might be too steep of a premium to pay, but it sure is a nice gun!!! first time i shot one it felt wonderful.

Sporteque has the 34 for 659 which isnt too bad imo.

Do they have a website? If graydog doesn't take it I might! They don't get any cheaper than that, unless it's beat. Used, it a great deal. New, its a steal!
I had to make the same choice a couple years ago & went for the 34. No regrets so far....

Make sure you see if you qualify for any sort of law enforcement/military/emergency personnel etc Glock discount! The criteria are quite broad! Do a search on "glock" on Sporteque and the criteria come up.

If not, the GSSF is quite worthwhile.

Police Ordnance is also really good to talk to. Their pricing on the phone is essentially that of Sporteque online, their stock is good, and they're quite knowledgeable.

I'm in the GTA, and figure it's worth paying PST to be able to pick up the hardware in person from Police Ordnance. But saving it by buying from Sporteque is also a tempting thought....

you mean more readily available, lower maintenance, goes BANG every time asked to do so, doesn't mind being covered in filth, etc? :nest:

Remember in the Chipmunks Aventures movie how Simon woke up in the middle of the forest, all alone...and was suddenly surrounded by savage Indians? Imagine the fear he felt.

....that's me right now. In this topic. Surrounded by Glock lovers!!

Bahaha..kidding. If I were to pick one it'd be the 34.
