BCRA Tactical Rifle Championship 2010

I will probably have room for two. But I may only be shooting Saturday so someone would need to take them on Sunday if I can't.
Who are we using this year anyhow?
Does anyone have an Excel spreadsheet design that we could use for scoring the 3 gun on Friday? I can bring my laptop (if the new cord shows up) and run it on there. Or enter the scores at home after the match.

Sadly the formatting (neat columns) goes away when copied here, but it should be readable enough.

Thanks again to Ed, and the staff that ran the match, it was another great time. I will have to lodge a formal complaint about the unsporting temperatures Friday though!!

All in all, great fun, and great people. I am a huge fan of the longer strings, I hope they stick around next year.

Regards,

Darrell Buell

Thanks to Ed and the other volunteers for putting on the shoot, it was great time though a little less sun/heat of the first couple of days would have been nice (a change from the usual rain ;) ). I'll be back next year :)

Hello to all,

Thank you Darrell Buell for posting the results AND for all your invaluable tech support for helping to ensure that the Match results were both accurate and presented in a timely manner Not only this year but in previous years as well . I do look forward to seeing you and Stan at next years Match.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsors of our match for there unwavering support - The sponsor help make our match that much more rewarding in terms of prizes but also in logistical support that help this match take place , Thank you
Barrett, PGW defense, Dave' Tactical,Wolverine supplies,P&D Enterprise,Hirsch Precision, Shooting Edge,Highland rescue,Atomic flashlight, One shot tactical,Adams lake Barrel's,Abbottsford tactical shooters,McMillan,Tactical tailor,Revision ,TDD(For getting me the plaques(Fantastic job ) in at Worp speed )(if I have missed anyone please pm me and I will revise this thank you note immediately ). Folks those of you that won prizes please contact the sponsor and thank them for there prizes and there support of our event ...........(Thanks Ante)
I very much would like to thank Ed Bergsma for his Fantastic efforts in the Butts as well as his assistants Ryan, Glen, Paul. with out them this match wouldn't happen Thank you Mcpl Ian Millar the Match RCO who did an exceptionally good job of running the line , his even temperament and good nature helped bring down some of the shooters temperatures despite the oppressive heat.(mine included)
to Paul Joukso- I and I think I can speak for the rest of the participants of our match THANK YOU for this years service but also for your previous years of volunteer service in helping make our match happen without you Paul the match would be exponentially harder to make happen Thank you once again to the shooters that helped out at the match , Helped P/U & drop off markers Thank you, To the shooters that offered there support for next years shoot -Matt Hnatuk I will be knocking on your door so to speak in the next few months to take advantage of your offer on behalf of all the shooters of this match ,to the new shooters of this match thank you for coming out I hope you enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing you again next year
to all the regular shooters of this match I save the most heart felt thank you , without your constant enthusiastic support and motivation to continue this match we couldn't nor would this match even take place .

This years match finished with well over 40 rnds over previous years we not only stepped up the rnd count but we turned up the difficulty of the event by taking the shooter to longer distance shooting at targets and course of fire not previously encountered. I had hoped that we could have finished the 2 stages that I removed from the course of fire But due to the heat ,and to the fact that(in retrospect) I should have added even more then the 17 markers(although it was difficult getting the markers we had - we do not have a huge pool of markers to draw from ) and should have had multiple relays on the line at the same time (1-3 then 2-4) on certain stages(taking advantage of the split frame construction of the target frames ) we ran out of time and for that folks I do apologize. and take all responsibility for any grievance or complaints that ANY shooters may have as far as feeling shorted by me removing the 2 stages .

Folks if anyone would like to voice a concern or a complaint I promise to listen, Only through doing can we refine our approach to a razors edge only
experience will make us better we learn as we go please contact me directly
with either complaints/concerns or if you have suggestions re course of fire or methods in scoring or procedures to make us better.

I would like to acknowledge the efforts of Mike Cook and John Larmont both gentlemen although distracted with pressing matters in there personal lives still managed too provide noteworthy assistance and encouragement in making this match happen this year but also in previous years thank you my friends

I look forward to the event next year and hope to see a lot of regular face and hopefully a bunch of new ones , I have a bunch of paper work to get to and I plan on taking a little break from the ever present all consuming BCRA Sniper championship 2010 as it is now behind us. BUT will be back at getting ready for 2011 in the next month or two and taking to heart lessons learned in 2010 both as Match director but also as a competitor and getting the match together for 2011 folks please, please, please, take the time to consider this years match and let me know how i can possibly make it better for next year ,

too those folks that took photos at the match please eel free to forward the photos to my personal email so I may use them / incorporate them on the bctcticalrifle.com website also to forward to sponsor so they can use them for promotional use .

Thank you to all. AND. apologies to those that think I could have done a better job

This was from the 500m spot:

Had a great time but the heat definately kicked my ass the first two days (Friday sightin and Saturday shoot) The shoot was awesome and the round count made it fun and I didn't even burn up a barrel :p

Got LOTS of work to do before next year - learn to read wind better, tweak the loads up abit and fine tune the rifle a bit to fit me better.

The hotel shoot at 300m kicked my ass...poor hostage got hit 3 times

For you guys that think you know how to shoot and have the high speed gear you HAVE TO come out to the shoot! Wicked fun!
