I just bought this sucker. Seems well made. 200 rounds feels a bit on the heavy side :p -- Chinese made, Vietcom issue.

(I paid more for shipping that the actual vest. Still happy with the purchase. He has more if you are interested)

This vest combined with two standard SKS stripper clip pouches, and I'm good for 280 rounds on foot. :)

30cal ammo can that holds 300rds in the cardboard boxes.
It packs neat enough to think that it was made for it.

I usually just use the case the surplus came in, as I usually go through about 600 rounds a visit to the range.

My first visit to "a range" and I did the same thing. I have since calmed it down a bit and only go through about 200-300 rounds (per rifle :p)

This vest is really nice. I tested it yesterday fully loaded (200), and with two SKS stripper clip pouches (2x40=80) and the overall weight (280 rounds) is not too bad... similar to the weight I carried in my Reserve unit days... definitely a plus for a visit to a friend's farm!

In the army I had 120 in magazins plus 80 in boxes, and I can tell you it felt like a ton

223 or 308?-my 223 load out on the belt alone was 180- the 308 was 80- 2 pouches of 30 rounds /,mag, 3 mags a piece- 90 rounds /pouch- it wasn't all THAT heavy

the fn would have been 80 on the belt,( 2x20x2) and another 20 in the rifle for 100- same as the m14, g3, whatever- that's why i asked about the "odd" bumber of rounds- i was thinking maybe the c2, as the c2 pouches held 30x2 x2- which would be 120- 60 rounds /pouch

I put 4 russian stripper clip pouches on a left over chinese SKS sling. Dual chamber oiler, chinese plastic oiler and a small bag of .30 cal patches in one to complete the cleaning kit, then 120 rds. in the remaining pouches. Makes a decent bandolier. Murat, if you dont mind me asking, where did you serve?
