he says the rfb is fairly accurate, plus the ones that come to canada (if they ever make it here) will have a longer barrel so that should translate into even better accuracy.
Every thread for this rifle brings out the haters. I have yet to figure out why. Some claim it is because they care so much about how other people spend their money but I am not sold on that theory yet. I will keep searching for the answer because I am sure that every thread about the XCR will give me more evidence to analyze.
You can have a rifle that is more accurate and only use it at an approved range or you can have one that is less accurate that you can shoot where ever you want (with land owner permission etc. depending where you live). Similar, yet very different.
Just recieved my xcr yesterday... Fit and finish is awsome!!! Very impressed with all physical aspects. Hope to get to the range next week and bother the fudds with my non-restricted "assault rifle"... Then i'll sight in my tikka
I was shooting around 1" @ 100 yards with my xcr 223 a month ago. Keep in mind that these groups were only 3-5 round groups and not 10 round groups. I have to say, I am impressed with the rifle.
The way I see it, the more people using non-restricted black rifles for hunting, the better. It will hopefully show to the anti's and some hunters I know, that black rifles can be useful tools for hunting.

I'm heading out deer/black bear hunting with my 3 1/2 year old son Sept 13 and finally made it to the range late yesterday afternoon to do a final check on some of my rifles.
Following is a list of the rifles I took with me to the gun club.
18.6" barreled RA XCR-L in 6.8spc = 95gr TTSX @ 2825fps
21" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 375RUM = 260gr Accubonds @ 3020fps
26" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 300RUM = 200gr Accubonds @ 3200fps
21" factory taper T/C Contender carbine in 375JDJ = 260gr Accubonds @ 2300fps
22" bull barrel T/C Contender carbine in 45-70 325gr FTX @ 1850fps
16.5" factory tapered T/C Contender carbine in 22LR (switched out 45-70 barrel/frame)
After checking zero @ 100 & 200 yards for all but the 22LR (which I only shot @ 25 yards) & 45-70 (200 yards was max range) and after a few minor scope adjustments on all of them I set targets up @ 300 yards when I got to the XCR-L in 6.8spc I quickly fired 2 shots @ 200 yards and 3 @ 300 yards = under 1 1/2" group with 1 hole thru the 1" bull the other 2 hit slightly down and left @ 300 yards.
This is the best 300 yard 3 shot group I have ever shot with this rifle/load combo damn I love it when a plan comes together...
and I am a hunter so a 3 shot group is all I need to shoot at these distances...

Please note my buddy pinned up the target upside down, I scanned it right side up so the text could be read. It's a 5 round 1.5 inch group, and variance from center is very good. That's with a 4X Millet DG scope, which I really like, but I know it's hurting my bench shooting... or for me, off the hood of the truck. No benches in my part of the Arctic... Of note what I'm finding, is that I'v put about 400 rounds through it, and it's really improving. When I first got it, its was at about 2.5 inch, and I was worried. Because of the availability and cost of 6.8 now, I'm finally getting rounds through it.
I would have no problem trying out to 300. But that would be for a "monster buck". I also would have no problem using it for elk or moose out to 150 in the bush with the available bonded bullet. That's just me. Lots of these animals were taken with .30/30's.
Though I am starting to wonder if I will get to use my XCR anymore. Someone's taken a shine to the reduced recoil and "fun" of shooting it.....
Anyway, that photo of the boss is more recent, and I've switched on a 7X Leupold (which I'm not impressed with), a new stock and an Ergo grip, along with an ARMS adapted bipod (get one!).
Naysayers be warned, these guns extremely comfortable to handle, more than accurate enough for most hunting and bloody fun!

The bashing happens because everyone needs to justify the purchase of their rilfes. The Tavor, Swiss guys need to know that that spending 3k on a gun is worth it in their minds. The AR guys feel better to say that they have the most accurate platform even though they can't do anything other then poke holes in paper in a confined area. And then there are guys who can't afford any type of black rifle and just bash them because of that.
Of the XCR bashing its usually guys "who have a buddy" that shoots it and it groups terrible or " I saw one on a range". Im yet to see a 10 shot MOA group by a an AR, Tavor, XCR or Swiss Arms that is co witnnessed and posted on the forum here. Some of the XCR owners have posted some 3 and 5 shot groups that would work great for coyote and varmint hunting.

Stock adapter available at Wolverine. Rumors for a while were of a folding model. Don't know where that is. But I really liked replacing that "stock" stock. This one is far more comfortable and much lighter. Probably removed half a pound. If it came out in .338 Fed I would be on that like white on rice!

It's nice to see a picture of a black rifle out "in the wild", I sometimes think that shooting ranges are like a zoo - keeping everything locked away from anything real. Looks like a great place to shoot, too - I don't think there's a place that open within a hundred miles of me
Yeah but its getting tiresome! If you don't like the XCR don't buy one. I'm sure if I wanted to I could find faults with any firearm made.
