Knoxx Recoil absorbing stock

I have a 1300 XTR 20" rifled deer gun. Would prefer to use wood, but the shoulder says different. I don't want the black spec ops stock, I want the gun to look hunting not tacticool and the camo would be about as good as I could hope for. I bought the fancy wood as I love wood but the Knoxx stock seems to have enough attributes in it's favor to help the buggered shoulder. If I'm going to spend the money on a non wood stock, might just as well have something I could live with for a few years. I have not pulled the trigger on anything with the right shoulder in over a year. I can hit a 2 lt pop bottle at 100 meters with the left shoulder, but not the same ( ok, I hit 5 out of 5). I know from the past I can hit 5 pop cans at 100 meters 5 out of 5. ( Winchester 1300 is so nice for accuracy and with every shot self ejecting if the action is polished.)

Today I pulled a 70lb bow that I thought I couldn't pull. If I can't get the stock I want I might just use the right shoulder and see if I can pull it off. I don't want a tacticool stock on my hunting shotgun. I've taken more deer with this shotgun than most have seen in there lives, so might as well put a dress on her that I can become accustom to. I will practice with the bow for the week and see if I am proficient enough to take one it, or hold off for a camo stock for the 1300. I love venison and one way or another I will be back shooting and hunting.

Man, I can't believe how much they tac on for extra charges.

That frigging thing was listed at $127, and then I get a confirmation email telling me the total is $179.04

$52 in extra charges, and these idiots are located in Canada???

EDIT - Opps! Haha! I forgot I bought the stock mounted shotshell holder for $17 as well.

Not so bad after all I guess. It was $14 for shipping and $20 in taxes.
My bad.

Applefarmer:
if you are having shoulder problems i would suggest you get the "tacticool" knoxx stock, the traditional style doesnt soak up half the recoil the tactical one does
if you're looking to reduce the pain of shooting it you might have to just go with function over form, after your shoulder is healed you can surely sell it on the EE

i dont have any shoulder problems, but will regularily blast off 50-100 rounds on a day at the range and walk away feeling like i was shooting my ruger 10/22
only bruise ive seen from this stock is when my buddy snapped off a shot at a duck and seated it on his bicept, small bruise anyways

Mine came today :D

As we've established, it does come with the Knoxx forearm as well. I also bought the "Power Pack" cheek rest/shell carrier/storage accessories. Now all I need is a shotgun to put it on...

That is fantastic news!
How long did it take?

I bought a shell holder for the stock, but I don't know if I get the Powerpack. I think it was a different one.

But I have a shotty already!

I'm in Ontario, ordered from BC on September 9. I got it today, September 15. Canada Post's tracking system was estimating September 20, so I'm more than pleased with 6 days order-to-delivery :)

I'll probably install the low cheekrest and shell carrier, but not the high cheekrest and storage tube. The gun I'm waiting for just has a low bead sight anyway.

The stock itself feels pleasingly solid...can't wait to install it on the gun!

You should get it soon, then! Shotgun I'm putting it on was supposed to be delivered today, but no one was home. CP's tracking system says it was delivered to the post office, but they insist they don't have it, and keep telling me to check back Monday. We shall see.

Got my gun Saturday, oddly enough. Ended up installing the Knoxx stock with the shell holder, low cheekrest, and storage tube. Took the storage tube off later...gun won't lie flat on that side with it installed, and I can't think what I'd ever use it for.

One handed shooting is a fun way to shoot my grizz after I put on the Knoxx recoil reducing stock. Even with 3" mags, it is fully controllable with one hand.

Good luck today, Wakeness!

Gotta post some pics of it now... Those are the rules haha

Well, if you insist :D

I don't have a forend removal tool at the moment, which is why the Knoxx forend hasn't been installed. Just holding the two, I think I may actually prefer the feel of the standard one...but one of these days I'll install the Knoxx anyway and give it a try.

Windage: I haven't had a chance to fire this at all yet, but that's on my list of things to play with.

I broke down and installed it with a pair of needle nose pliers (VERY carefully...I read up on some others who did the same and runed the threads in the process).

Not sure I like it, but I'll take it out this way on the weekend and we'll see.
