KEL-TEC CNC INDUSTRIES, INC.
1475 COX ROAD
COCOA, FL 32926

Kel-Tec CNC Industries, Inc. has been working closely with Vault Distribution as well as the U.S Department of State to get some of our product line approved for export to Canada. We have been tirelessly applying and subsequently re-applying for export licenses for our SUB-2000 and RFB products.

There were numerous, as well as erroneous, instances of rejection for our applications.

An example of these instances:

• Improper capitalization of our own company name compared to what their records showed (their records showed all capital letters, while we typed it out normally).
• Insisting the Canadian version of the RFB did in fact have a flash suppressor, even though it was stated numerous times in the application that it has no threading on the barrel whatsoever. Our application was rejected twice for this reason.
• Insisting the SUB-2000 can be fired in the folded position and has a telescopic stock, which is certainly not the case.
• Listing the RFB as both 7.62mm NATO as well as .308WIN. We can export .308WIN rifles, but absolutely no 7.62mm rifles are allowed to be exported for public use.

It should be noted that each application, on average, takes about 1 week before it gets assigned to a licensing officer followed by another 3-4 days before it is either approved or rejected.

Kel-Tec CNC Industries, Inc. and Vault Distribution want to thank you for your patience as we work through what can only be described as typical bureaucratic meanderings to accomplish an easy task.

We are confident that we’ve finally hammered out all of the kinks and these export licenses will finally be approved in the coming weeks.

I want to assure everyone that Kel-Tec CNC Industries, Inc. is doing everything in our power to get these great products out to you!

Sincerely,

Kel-Tec Management

We actually had an export permit for one SU16 approved. Vault is only bringing in one rifle at this time, as the CFR has asked us for a sample. We are hoping to have the classification of the SU16 changed to non restricted after they look at the sample. Based on that, we will be launching the SU16 January of 2011 if all goes well. The sample we have coming is actually next years model called the SU16A2. A few changes from the existing production model.

Good to hear that Kel-Tec is putting up with the export BS for us Canadians.
Sounds like a good company to deal with.

For all of you guys who wonder why no Canadian dealer cares about bringing in the cool stuff...this is what we are faced with especialy on the US side. My hat is off to Vault Distribution for not giving up as we would be very interested in carrying their products when they get them in. Phil.

Awesome news. Any possibility of the SUB-2000 being available with a longer barrel and classified as non restricted, the barrel could be made longer past the front sight.

This thing looks cool.

I'd love an RFB, but I fear that it might go the way of the T 97's.
My hats off to the folks at Kel Tec and Vault for putting up with all this crap.

Thanks so much for the update ( and not giving up on it). I, for one, really appreciate it and look forward to purchasing a fine RFB when you finally get them up here to your retailers.
