Kel-Tec Update Statement

Awesome news, as our choices up here are fairly limited. Good on Kel-Tek/Vault for thinking of us poor plebs up here in Canada and cheers for bringing a couple more cheap & cheerful non-restricted rifles!

I've read through the whole thread, but I'm not sure if this has been asked? Which retailers are going to be hooked up with Vault Distribution?

check with any one of the sponsoring dealers that has a physical store or talk to your local store since Vault Distribution doesn't deal with online only retailers.

At this time Vault has 8 stores spread across Canada that have expressed great interest in becoming stocking dealers of the Kel-Tec line. We will confirm these dealers when the last couple of export permits have been approved and confirmed. We should have more information on the status of these applications very soon.

I don't think I mentioned on here, but as of Thursday October 14th Kel-Tec was working on milling the 7.62mm Nato off the sides of the Canadian model RFB's, and laser etching them with .308 Win. One more thing to appease the Department Of State.

Hell, I'll buy one just to show thanks to Kel-tec & Vault.
Nothing to do with having a semi-auto coyote rifle that is compact & can take LAR-15 magazines.

like this?

ban him!!! :p

Hi

Just wondering a few things about the RFB. If the markings are going to say
.308 on them, will it be safe to fire 7.62 NATO through them? Is it purely a change in appearance?

Also will it be considered a Restricted or Non-Restricted rifle?

I would love to pick one of these up in the future. I'm a fan of bullpup rifles.

Just got to shoot the Aussie AUG and L85 last week at the range. I prefered the AUG over the L85, but I think I'd like to get something in 7.62 instead. (Too bad the AUG is prohib in Canada.)

Anyway thanks for the info and the effort to get them exported.

nicely done to both KT and Vault. i am leaving the country soon but i will buy one just to support your cause. my friend can shoot it while i am gone.

Dude... The RFB's are marked 7.62 NATO, until those marks are milled-off so they can be exported.

Having the original calibre markings erased doesn't change the chambering, otherwise I'd just re-mark my .30-'06 to .375H&H
