Hey guys,
Anyone out there have any experience with the Sig 2022 series of pistol? The price on these are much less than that of the 226,229,220 pistols. I know the frame is polymer as opposed to steel but can anyone tell me anything else about these, good or bad. Thanks

I'm not gonna lie I don't know much about the 2022 Series. I came across a You Tube video one time of someone shooting 5000 rounds through one straight. Here's the link if your interested in checking it out:

Don't let the low price fool you! It's quality is as good as a Glock or better. In my opinion it's an IMPROVEMENT on the 226 except when used as a club. Grip is better, trigger is smooth and it's soft to shoot and accurate!

I have shot both the 9mm and .40 versions. I have found the grip angle and size to be very simlar to the P229. The .40 is a bit "snappy" compared to a P229 and is probably due to the polymer frame. The 9mm is much nicer to shoot for me at least. These pistols are very well thought of on sigforum and are generally considered to be very under-rated and very reliable.

I own the 2022 in 9mm. I find it VERY accurate, love the trigger on it and it fits my hand just great. In fact I prefer it over the 226. I find all the buttons and levers are exactly where I want it and it is very comfortable. It is a very nice looking gun and it is well made. I would never sell it.

Other than you can't change the grip to a Hogue, but you can fit another grip panel to fit, they are damm fine guns and the entire French Police force uses them. The best Sig for the money.

I have a sig 2022 in 40 cal and its my first handgun that ive bought and i got it here off the ee and its awsome i love it ive only fired a box of rounds but it shoots dead on and feels great ive fired lots of handguns and this one to me is one of the best feeling handguns and for me i love it.

Possibly the world's most issued handgun - just not in North America. Half a million French cops can't be wrong. They're everywhere in Europe, and highly regarded. They are most certainly capable of better accuracy than the majority of shooters who hold them (except maybe prproulx - nice shooting! :D).

Thanks for that post. It seems to be very reliable. That barrel got super hot, pistol was submerged in water as well and kept running like a dream, not one stoppage.

Very nice shooting prproulx. Thank you for your insight aswell, it was very helpful. I do believe I will keep my eye out for one. Im also not a huge fan of the extended barrel but it is a very nice pistol despite that.

Thanks for all the info guys, please feel free to post more...

No problem. Yeah that you tube user has a bunch of posts where they kick the sh!t out of a 2022 and fire it. Just kinda interesting to watch sometimes! They must be quality control guys or something

Good luck with finding a Sig!!

Does anyone know where to get parts for these sig pisols and a holster that fits it and extra mags would be nice ive looked everywhere

Thanks Dave

very nice handgun, and as mentioned before don't let price and polymer frame fool you! I used to worked at a range, and some times would let customers try it, at least half of them would tell me that it is more accurate, but i guees correct is to say they were more accurate with it... imho best bang for the buck
