Input on Ammo to Bring In?

The non-reloadable ammo should not be brought in. Every where I seem to go, the casings are lying around. because they are considered garbage, no one picks up their own mess it seems. Ranges soon become steel casing dumps and the club members who really want to maintain the grounds, end up having to clean the mess. Even if the brass is not cleaned up, there is always someone that will pick it up and recycle it either thru reloaders or scrap dealers. This is my $0.02 worth.

I love it when people leave their brass at the range. I am more than happy to scrounge it and clean it up. I just wish that more of it was 7.62x39 and .45 acp!!

Hi Henry,

It has been mentioned briefly, but 7.62X25 surplus would be great, and should be a good seller. Lots of Toks being sold these days, and not much ammo around.

Thanks

Those who cry about the mess of steel cases should get the club to buy a magnetic shop sweeper.(magnet on wheels) They don't cost much and you could pick up thousands in minutes. If thats out of the question you could always hide in the shadows and rat out all the people who leave a mess. But the magnet is a lot easier and a lot less creepy.

I will say my piece about what ammo can sells in Canada. So how many people own a .22LR pistol or rifles in Canada? I will say a lot of people either have a pistol or rifle in .22. Import some CCI mini mag, or Velocitor in volume at a good deal into Canada. After that then sell the CCI .22 at a price cheaper then local stores after shipping, you got yourself a winner.

Check what's always not in stock in the stores. I noticed it's always 9MM Luger and 12 gauge buckshots shells that are sold out. Sometime when I just want some, you can't find them in the local stores unless you wait. Even at a price $300 for 1000 rounds of 9mms will sell up to a point no one will have them. If you can bring in a lot of 9mms cheaper then local stores, again I think you got yourself a winner.

Most shooter won't care if the brass or re-loadable, or else they will just buy the brass instead of factory ammo. Cheap is the number thing to the buyers or else those cheaper ammunition won't be sold out in the 1st place!:)

Hello sir, your efforts to supply us with some ammo are appreciated!

How about some good quality, non corrosive, western manufactured 7.62x51??

I see british radway green 7.62x51 for sale at reasonable prices in the US all the time!
I Also frequently see german/austrian manufactured Hirtenberger ammo stateside too...

I reckon if the brits will export it to the US then we should have no trouble!

I am still waiting for a range report on that new Russian .308 thats show up... But i would be prepared to pay more for NATO sourced milsurp.

Cheers!!!

Cowboy action shooting is reactivating a lot of what were considered "obsolete" calibers. There is a shortage of brass in some of the original calibers, such as .32-40, .38-55, etc. Just something to think about.

I was just thinking about this the other day , i did a range walk about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago and what do i find ? a single 44-40 casing AND a 45 colt casing. needless to say i hear 44-40 is next to impossible to find.
