Just want to see the numbers of who is using what...
poll options
1.norc
2.Both (doesn't matter as long as in works)
3.local (canadian or american made)

meh people can rip on the norcs all they want but ive seen my norc keep chugging when other brands, (LMT, Armalite, STAG and KAC) were struggling and ive out shot people with guns costing 2-4 times as much, i don't care where it was made so long as it works.

The last time i put a Chinese gun in my safe all my other guns kicked the crap out of it fearing they get infected with some rusty virus. I promised never again to put some crappy ill-fitted mystery metal POS in there again.

I have my heart set on an ATRS custom AR but just have to wait a little while as I save up. I have considered buying the norc for now but had decided that I will be $700 closer to my dream rifle if I wait.
as I don't own either yet I will not be voting in this poll, but soon I hope to be able to contribute my .02

I supported Canadian arms retailers by purchasing an affordable Norinco rifle from them. I continue to support those same retailers by purchasing reloading components, parts and bits for this same rifle. If I hadn't bought the Norc, I would not likely have any AR.

(BTW - all said retailers are CGN sponsors, proof that advertising here works):)

I think if you can throw a few extra bucks into an AR, Canadian is a good option.
For every $1 of raw materials that Canada exports to china, they send back $17 in finished product.

Eastern Canada provides a great deal of the ore used to make the norincos that we get at bargain basement prices, but I think the long term cost to canadians will be devastating.

Just my 2 cents.

Matty,
I have had three Norc AR lowers,
and three Blue Line lowers,
which I assembled my self using Armalite and DPMS lower parts kits.

They all worked just fine.

I am sure I am the only that thinks this way, but with the exception of the lower and barrel most of the local AR are assembled from parts imported from outside of Canada.

People are funny, maybe we should start running people off the road for buying import cars too. The world is so intertwined now there is no going back. Get used to it.

I have nothing against any Norc product and even considered buying the M4gery on a few occasions but I told myself I wouldn't buy any Chinese manufactured firearms. In the end I bought a full AR from a gent here on the EE made from Blue Line receivers.

AR choices

i have nothing against the Norinco's but I have one US made and two canadian made AR's. All af my future ones will be Canadian as I am very happy with the Quality and I have a local manufacturer That will put any symbols etc.. make it custom for me. I don't much care what brand my fellow shooters use as long as they have the opportunity to own one and enjoy the warm glow a hot AR gives off after a stage of shooting. There are good and bad likely in all brands, know half a dozen guys with Norc's and only one of them has been a bit of a problem child---think he may have gotten a Friday Aft. version.

The price differences between the Norinco M4A1 copies are not that much different from US or Canadian made stuff to justify their purchase imho - and I do own a Norinco M14 copy, so that isn't just Chinese bashing....
