Hi Guys,
Had to share a couple new finds to go with my Type 99 rifle. These pistols were difficult to find for me, and from what I understand from Teri Bryant's site, not many have made it to Canada, although i know there are some nice ones on this site.. The condition here is nothing special, but both pieces have alot of character and are no doubt full of history. Finding these was a bit sad though, my goal was to aquire one decent original configuration main rifle and sidearm from each major player. And I am done now. The Japanese pieces were the most challenging. What to chase now? Thanks for looking
EDIT*********How could I have forgotten to mention that the ability for me to find these was soley due to two wonderful CGNers!!!

Amazing Joe! Japanese firearms at all are hard to come by up here, let alone the Nambu's. Lets see some pictures of EACH country!

PS for collecting you should go back to K98s...

Your Nagoya T14 was made 2 months after mine and is in much better condition. My T94 is a 20.3 Chuo Kogyo and has the late wooden grips.

I have a 21 series Kokura T99 and a 5th series Nagoya T99. Early featured Kokura is matching with unground mum, the Nagoya is transitional and lacks mum, monopod and AA wings. My Type 38 is a no series 2 million serial range (mum ground)

Nice to see Japanese arms here.

I went after one example of WW1 major powers rifle/hand gun combinations once I had done as you have done with WWII items.

Thanks Gentlemen! yes they certainly do lack the finesse of the P08 or K98, as well as the good thunk a 1911A1 can provide

I absolutely agree! Ugly as mud for sure! But I was pleasantly surprised how well the Type 94 felt in the hand.

I believe Old Bill did indeed model the Mk1 after the T14 as he liked how it held and pointed.

I dunno, your T-14 is definately nicer than mine! I also have a T-26 revolver currently being imported through Prophet River if you're still looking for something to chase....

I met an American from Utah who collected Arisakas - high and low serial numbers per arsenal and per rifle type. He had a flat folded list in his wallet and he showed it to me. He had strike outs and additions where he'd moved the serial number spread.

I was just thinking that the top pistol looks like a MK1 Ruger - nuclear mutant version.

Very cool stuff! Isn't an Arisaka with the Chyrsanthemum intact super rare? Beautiful pieces, nonetheless.

My first pistol was a Type 14, date 16.10, serial 25.
Only Japanese firearm I own now is a Special Navy Rifle. Don't have the slightest idea how it got to Canada, or even survived.
