just curiouse in the 1000 dollar range who besides CZ and Tikka is making 6.5 swedes do remington, browning and winchester do them in limited quatities from time to time just wondering if anyone knows

Sako 75 and 85. A bit more than $1000, but a used one would be close. Also Steyr - both the SBS series and the older ones.

yeah i am aware of the sako and steyer and they are lovley rifles but well over a 1000 each of them i guess im wondering about the big american companys

Winchester and Remington once made a run of them. Only Ruger for NA companies at present. Rest are all Euro companies. I have the Rem 700 Classic in that, but they are hard to find. Only 5,000 made and I have no clue how many actually made it to Canada. Probably no more than a few hundred.

My wish list would be Remington to bring it back and offer also a 6PPC, 7.62x39, etc boltface 700 edition. For some reason they have no desire to go there.

When was the last time you seen one for sale ? Ive seen a few older 77's go up but never new Ruger bolt guns.

Nothing in 6.5x55 on their website.....The do have 6.5 Creedmore

There was a Ruger 77 MkII in 6.5x55mm with a Bushnell Trophy 2-7x32mm scope on the EE this afternoon for $650. Posted at 1:58 pm; edited to "SPF" at 3:57 pm..... ;)

Too bad I didn't see it, it would've been "SPF" to me..... :D

You could rebarrel a Savage and should come in around a grand depending on what model you start with, plus you'd have a fairly premium tube (and a new spare barrel in 30-06).
