New Abomination From Mossberg

I bet the cost is way out of line.

But if you look closely, it appears that the "chainsaw" grip is mounted to the picatinny rail, it's not molded into the forearm.

So basically, it's a Mossberg with a tri-railed forearm stock and a ridiculous marketing gimmick attached to it.

I bet that's an easy $250 over a base 18" Maverick or Mossy 500.

Actually saw one with .50cal muzzel brake for sale in Wholesale, but didn't know to this point it's a production item )))))

No one's said anything about the Blackwaster 930 SPX with that neat looking stock in the background behind the chainsaw

What's your problem? Blackwater logo helps your tactical mindset. I'm engraving it on on my 870P receiver right now. Pics up soon.

I'm betting this bad boy is a photo-chop.

Thinking it through, wouldn't trying to rack that from above cause to much rotational torque on the slide (Rear of the slide would go down while front would pivot up) and bind it up instead of sliding? That's to say nothing of the side to side movement unintentionally caused by holding the handle at the top without behind dead center. Try taking any pump and twist the pump handle while pumping. I's bet you have good chance of bending the action bars.

Course I could be completely off base....

For Mossberg's sake I hope not, this would SMACK of desperation.

OK, I have to ask, what is it for? What concept did the designers have in mind . . . OK that ones easy, to make money, but they must have had some scenario in mind when they said, "Hey, Lets put a chainsaw bow on a 500!" Or was it an in house bet to see if it was true that anything can sell. Maybe next they can bring out a Roadster 500 with a laminated wood steering wheel on it, or a Gunship 500 with an inverted pistol grip with a covered button; you flip up the cover and depress the button with your thumb to fire. Hey, thats not bad, I wonder if I can get royalties?? Nah, its probably already patented by Bell Helicopter. We could be approaching the time when folks will say, "Are you old enough to remember when guns used to fill a practical purpose?"

Could be a contest like I saw at an Edmonton JB Power, if someone sold a gold chain steering wheel the regional rep would buy them and their family dinner!

owww come on!!!
This cant be real, its so embarasing , it allmost makes you shy to tell any one you own a mossberg now.
Mossberg oww yer thats the company that makes those stupid looking guns... I an hear it now.
