Hey everyone.
Im sure everyone has a favorite gun or two that we are proud or would not sell or trade unless the price was too good to be true. Maybe its a sentimental thing or just irreplaceable.

Personal

1. Remington Model Seven XCR Extreem conditions rifle) in 308. talley mounts with 3-10x40 bushnell 3200 scope.

2. Remington 700 5R Milspec with custom HS VS stock 308

3. Remington Model 600 308win with amazing carving of a cougar in the buttstock by my grandfather

Your turn to share if you will.

Sure. I look for guns that suit my needs....but many tend to be rare.

Ruger Frontier (last generation with checkered stock and matte stainless) in .338 Federal

Ruger Deerfield .44 Carbine

Browning Buckmark Sporter rifle

Ruger 10/22 Magnum

Springfield M6 Stainless

Beretta Xtrema II With factory 24" tube

SIG 226ST

Thats about it for the "favorites"

My C. Sharps '74 in 50/90 Sharps
C. Sharps 1885 in 45/70
CPA Stevens in .218 Mashburn Bee
Any of my Krieghoff shotguns
On second thought, I could list most of my guns on here, there's only a couple that i would sell and they are mostly plastic.

You guessed it, Schultz 65DL in 308 Norma Mag. Not always the taker, but my favorite.
Ruger M77 in 308 win. Mostly my taker.
Swedish Mauser 98, 6.5X55 favorite target rifle.
My Winchester 69A for rimfire. Now I have to try the new to me out.
Not a favorite yet but could soon be, Winchester 1894, yup 1894 in 25-35 carbine.
Pre 1900's. Reeeel purdy.

1988 Browning .222...most accurate shooter I have shot at over 200 yards.
1940 Marlin model 81D...whacks 'em to 200
Lakefield Mark II...really works great at close range but the Marlin 990L comes next.

Gophers the name and shootin's the game.

There is a couple that I would never sell, but the first one that always comes to mind is my Remington 7600 .35 Whelen "Factory Carbine"
No Chance Its Ever Leaving My Safe...Not Even To You Tikka!!:p

Too many to list, but for starters :
My Nesika 338 LAI
P 14 Enfield 404 Jeffery
'74 Shiloh Sharps in 45- 120
Browning BPCR in 45-70 and an '86 also 45-70
Win Hi-Wall in 219 Zipper Imp.
Ruger # 1 in 303 Brit
Ruger # 1 in 450/348 AI
Mod 70 pre-64 in 270
Mod 71 deluxe in 348
Rem 721 300 H&H

And several dozen more...... :)

I'd have trouble parting with any but here are a few that are 'untouchable, at present;
  • Husqvarna model 4000 light weight in 30-06(to be willed to granddaughter).
  • Schultz & Larsen model 65DL in 308 NM.
  • Winchester model 71 deluxe in 348 WCF.
  • Old custom Winchester High Wall (& J.UNERTL scope) in 219 Donaldson Wasp.
  • English, J.S. Boreham straight stock, sidelock, SxS 12ga.

I also don't buy firearms with the intention of selling them in the forseeable future but if I had to pick favorites it I would have to pick the following:

-Ruger 44 carbine (fun to shoot, great bush gun)

-Marlin 1895 (took my first deer)

-Remmy XR-100 .204 (also fun to shoot, accurate right outta the box)

-Valmet 412st 12ga. (beautiful shape, fits me very well, love to find a set of rifle barrels for it)

geez gunna get called a wuss for this one after all these big calibers.

Savage model 24 S in .22lr/.410 over under.

This was my first gun in the cabinet and would be the last to leave. Hard to find these anymore.
I have a .275 rigby ( 7x57 mauser ) that would be hard to pry from my fingers too, european walnut stock is gorgeous.
