Antique Photos--Post what you got

This is about the closest 'thing' I have to fit in the antique category. An old custom Winchester High Wall in 219 Donaldson Wasp with a 10 X J.UNERTL scope.

I recently received this US Springfield Model 1861 rifle from Weimajack. Made in 1863 by the Norwich Arms Company (one of the biggest civilian contractors for Springfield rifles in the Civil War), complete with bayonet and all original except for the hammer retaining screw. I think the metal was cleaned up at some point but that doesn't really bother me with a firearm issued in the white. Overall its in good shape and I'm very happy with it - I think I might even try shooting it!

I believe its a Browns Mfg Co. Southerner .41 rimfire Derringer.

Made late 1860's early 1870's. Cool looking gun and nice condition ammo too, .41 rimfire in good condition is hard to find and expensive.

Yeah working man category antique guns for the most part don't fetch much money in the U.S. I mean why would they when you can go buy a new pistol easily.

Here on the other hand, if it goes bang and isnt smothered in all the firearms act bull#### it can fetch alot more.

Starr 1858

Here's my Starr Arms Company DA Army 1858. Still retains about 85% of its bluing, all original with very good cartouche on the grips. This one was made between 1862-1863.

Btw, its a good reliable shooter as well!!

Lefaucheux - Franchotte

Heres one of my "odd ball" guns, that may have started out as a Pinfire (usually how you find them). This one however is 11mm Centrefire. Proofmarked as A. Francotte. If it was a Pinfire then it dates originally from 1850s, as a conversion (or even if it was made originally as a centrefire), its been dated at mid 1870's.

Have not fired this one, no idea on the cartridge type or loads, this ones just for show!

Sweet S&Ws Bob!

Very nice Bob , I'll post one of mine and a couple of spanish knock-offs that are rather interesting, but definitely "ugly ducklings" compared to those nickled beauties!!

Some Spanish S&W knock offs

These are 1914-19 vintage, in .455 Webley. Top is a Trocaola Aranzabal y Cia, and bottom is a Garate, Anitua y Cia. Nice copies of Smith & Wesson revolvers, referred to by the British as the OP (old pattern) No. 2 Mk I.
