gas lock front sight

who has the gas lock style front sight, or the other style that takes the original 14 front sight for the shorty M14s? need one or the other with norc threads. marstar is out, who else?

I just checked bits and pieces and it doesnt seem like there was anything there in the way of a gas lock front sight...
Am I blind or do they not carry it anymore? If you dont mind me asking how much did you guys get yours for?

it seems to be a small issue if you want to remove the gas lock front sight for cleaning. the screw that holds the Norc sight doesnt sit flush. so when you twist it to remove it, the little bit thats sticking out connects with the gas assembly tube (forgot name.. i hope you know what i mean)

So basically you have two options:
A) Mount it backwards and have the side that would connect, sit flush or
B) Unscrew the sight everytime, ruining your zero on the rifle.

I tried going to a Rona or Home Depot to replace the screw for a shorter head, but they dont carry one with such a fine thread.

Any suggestions? Thanks!
