Just some simple words of advice. When MysticPlayer gives you advice about a rifle, or bullet build - listen to him. He knows his stuff.

Shot this on Friday from 200 yards from a Savage .223 Mode 12 BTCSS

Rifle bedded and tuned by mysticprecision.

69 Grain Sierra matchkings with Varget
Leupold EFR 6.5-20 glass.

If he can help a guy like me get groups like this, anything is possible!

Thanks Jerry.

Thanks LH, was a great day with excellent conditions. show them the other groups that were shot - unless we left it hanging on the board???

We should have taken a pic of the rest you used. Great shooting given the set up.

A steadier rest and you would have put them all into the same hole.

nice when a plan comes together.

Your loading has also come along very nicely. That was very nice ammo you made up.

we will have to stretch out its legs when the weather warms up.

No never shot a Rem or a Tikka that wouldn't shoot 1" or under at 200 yards..bone stock.

I can vouche for Tikka but I think you are full of #### claiming all bone stock Remmy's will shoot 1/2 MOA at 200.
V:I:

I have had very bad luck with Remmy's latley. No Remmy hate, but the faster you peel that barrel off and it hits the garbage the better off you'll be.

Factory Savage barrels have been much nicer to me.

Neither are all that #### hot out of the box IMO, they are both great platforms for a match barrel, till then its a bit like playing the lottery.

I'll give credit to Savage for screwing on better barrels these days. Hard to argue that. They make good F-Class entry guns. Enjoy your Savages.
Now, if the other manufacturers ever woke up to that fact. ;)

BTW,
There are plenty of stock Rem 700's shooting 1/2 MOA. I'm not impressed with the finish of the SPS.
Nor have I ever liked that bolt release/safety that moves with the trigger on a Savage. Sorry can't get past it.
