30-30: Do you own one?

Yep...although I'll admit that my Marlin was pretty much delegated to the back of my safe until LeverEvolution ammo came along.

Yes a PCMR and I very seldom hunt with it, I use it mostly with cast bullets for Cowboy side matches and paper punching

I own two .30/30's and three .32 specials which are practically ballistic twins. All 1894 Winchesters and all excellent woods rifles. Don't understand the fans of LeverEvolution ammo. Good ammo but it doesn't make a .308 out of a .30/30. I bet it you performed autopsies on deer shot with the new ammo and say, a 150gr. Remington CORLOKT you couldn't tell the difference. Just a little flatter trajectory.

I have a 30AS 30-30 marlin, 30-30 win. 94, 32. special win. 94. but I don't hunt I just play at the range.

i hunt and shoot targets with mine ,, doesnt ruin a pile of meat on a deer like some cartridges i have used, not a long range number with any bullet , good to 200 yds ,, wade

I own a couple or three lever 94's, a .32 Winchester Special that I hunt with, a single shot Savage that has a 12 ga. barrel as well. 30-30 is a great old caliber for whitetail. If I could only have one caliber, it would be either 30-30 because of the handy lever guns, or 30-06 because of the versatility of the cartridge.

It's out beyond 100 yards where the difference starts to get huge...

Don't own one anymore. Had the Marlin 336TS in the 80s ,should have kept it. I would like to get one of those Marlin 336Y for my wife.

Yep. And hunt with it. Also shot my first deer with it too.

70s vintage Win 94. Despite it being a post 64, ive never had one issue with it besides it crappy finish. Operationally, its perfect. Im tossing around the idea of having it dura/armour coated.

Winchester (94 I believe). A bit sentimental for me as it was the first rifle I got from my dad. I also shot my first animal (a caribou) with it. I own a lot of guns, but I'll still take this one out to the field a couple of times in the summer for some target shooting. I just love operating the lever mechanism. Makes me feel "cool".

I really want to get into the 30 30 club. I would love to buy a Winchester 94 but where i hunt is shotgun only so I can't justify dropping the money right now... but one day
