Re STOLEN banner from 2010 BCRA Tac Rifle Championship

Maybe provide a mailing address in case someone wants to anonymously mail it back.

Address is on the website and C.O.D. is like a consolation prize for being a ####. I'd rather pay for a new one myself.

Sorry a bit off topic but Ed indicated that the crse of fire for this years shoot should be posted by end month. Any idea when. Based on last years shoot, there are quite a few shooters I know who are waiting to see the crse of fire before commiting, especially when the Western F Class shoot is on the same weekend.

It's finished but we are in the process of tearing it apart to find flaws. Should be less than a week. Shouldn't matter about F-Class though....we have more fun.

They give barrels as prizes? LOL I should start competing.

Dude? We have tens of thousands in prizes every year.

That having been said, what is availible from Barrett in Canada, I thought the more famous product from them is the 50BMG single shot that can't be exported from the US??

Barrett donated a B.O.R.S. unit ($$$) and 3 sets of rings plus some hats and t's.

Your bottom sig line still make me laugh JL...

Well sure, it was your ear that was bleeding. :D

They were pry shotgun barrels that you could buy for like $100.

Hope you are being sarcastic. It was a match grade barrel, I think it was Krieger among lots of other outstanding prizes. The top prize the year prior was a pgwdti Timberwolf. It doesn't get any better than that.

To the 'person' who STOLE the Barrett banner,

Nice one!

I guess you felt that it wasn't enough that Barrett had donated $4000 +++ to the match in prizes so YOU decided that they didn't deserve to have their banner displayed at this years match as I promised them we would. I guess EVERY single competitor getting something from the prize table wasn't enough for you.

Tell me, when I go to Barrett this year for prizes shall I just casually mention your class act and ask for another banner?

Congratulations, this certainly beats out the dicks that pilfered a bunch of DOT targets on sight in day ensuring we didn't have enough for each competitor to shoot a clean target during the match.

Thanks again,

What range and event did this take place at?

I'm disappointed to hear it happened.

Holy crap. Was it a blank? I just didn't imagine anything like this at a Canadian event. Wow.

You should see the prize table at this match folks! It's incredible. The boys go to a lot of trouble to make this match as good as it is.Like someone said already they gave away a PGW Timberwolf in .338L the year before. And if I remember correctly there was also a 300wm and a shotgun on the table too.
If you've ever wanted to have some fun and try shooting a match, this is the one to try.You DON'T need to be a super ninja deltaforce sniper.Just show up and shoot. There is NO attitude and the comeradery is awesome. If you need help, someone will give it.

+1. I have shot in the match the past two years and will continue to make the trip from Alberta every year. The scenery at Vokes range is awesome as well.

After the rifle I intended to shoot got delayed, I went in 2008 with a 14.5" AR15. my partner and I didn't even finished last. Although in army terms: Good kid, tried hard, bottom third.

Still came home with a few prizes, a lot of knowledge, saw some people I like, met new interesting people. On my relay I had VPD ERT on my left (who were very very nice btw) and on my right had the ATR crew from whom we copied a shooting stance.

So if you are reading this and wondering: wonder no more. If you don't have a rifle, I might be able to swing one. Come out, it is worth it. Well organized and lots of fun.

And whoever stole the banner: Karma is a #####. There are a lot of us around who will remember this.

JL or Slavex must have a picture of the banner so people know what to look for?

Whereabouts in Alberta are you traveling from? I might have to go check it out. I really, REALLY need to spend more time at the range though before I even think about competing ;)

Screw that, first time out I more than doubled my entry fee in swag and took home some hardwear. There is no training like competition.

Will's right!Don't worry about anything if you are thinking about coming to this match. You will leave with good prizes no matter where you finish. And remember...there is ALWAYS someone who sucks worse than you do. ;)
